I have every book in this series. That going back to 1977 I believe. Judith Miller was the editor before 2003 of this series. She broke from publisher and there were other editors since 2004. She'd did her own copy of the guide for the last five years and now she came back for some reason. Both books are great. Nothing like auctions and pictures for every item. Don't forget, the listing of items are over a year old. The guide may say 20009. But the items were sold from late 2007 to early 2008. Remember that the items listed are over a year old. They use a range to give value. I would prefer the actual sale price. You could get that at the Auction house web sites for most of the larger item or using Artfact.com. This is really the only professional antique guide on the market worth the price. For any appraiser this guide has some use.

Great book. Just what I expected. Lots of pictures and descriptions. If you are looking for a starting place in buying antiques this is a good book.
