About the Author

Mick Walker is acknowledged around the world as the leading authority on motorcycle racing and classic motorcycles. His first book was published in 1985, and since then he has authored over 90 specialist books with almost one million copies sold around the world in various languages. In 1998, he was largely responsible for The Art of the Motorcycle exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and the Director wrote: "You are the only person who was capable of writing the first and the last entry in our catalogue". In 1999, Ducati presented him with a Lifetime Achievement Award - the first of its kind ever made.
