5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my Nikon D40, June 6, 2007
I wanted a camera bag that didn't look like, well a camera bag. I got the Crumpler because it looks like a messenger bag and didn't stick out to bad. I have a Nikon D40 and kit lens and this bag fits perfectly for it. There is one support pad which you can adjust, I have it supporting the camera grip and the lens seems fine in it. There is a little room left for a small notebook or external flash.

The strap on this doesn't have any soft padding for your neck, just that black strap material so when you sling it over your should it hits your neck. The main compartment doesn't close with a zipper but only with the main flap. The flap though has a velcro and snap/hook closure.

The main thing about this bag is the looks, nice modern. The material, seems abit nicer than the Lowepro or Tamrac bags. The bag itself is not a big box, it has softer walls meaning it isn't "rectangular" but more of a natural shape to it.

I like to take my camera everywhere I go and the Crumpler is designed to not be so obvious there's a camera in it. If you have more than the kit lens and flash, or have a larger DSLR (my Nikon D40 is pretty smalled compared to other DSLRs) I would look for a bigger bag. Cheers.

5.0 out of 5 stars crumpler 4mdh for the canon rebel xti, July 16, 2008
This review is from: CRUMPLER 4 MILLION DOLLAR HOME BAG (Electronics)
I just got my crumpler today and I'm so excited to take it out for a shoot.

Size: I was able to load in my xti along with the 18-55mm kit lens attached with some space left over. I'm not sure if I'd feel comfortable sticking another lens in there without it being a tight squeeze, but it's a very good fit for the body, kit lens, and charger/maybe a filter or two.

For a day shoot or a short trip where I don't plan on changing lenses constantly this is going to be a good light bag.

And, as they always mention with crumpler, the bag doesn't look like a typical camera bag. I got the red one and I love it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty darn good, May 9, 2009
This review is from: CRUMPLER 4 MILLION DOLLAR HOME BAG (Electronics)
This is a good bag - very sturdy and well-cushioned, and it does a good job of protecting my gear in the rain. (I unfortunately got caught in a downpour, with a tiny umbrella, the first time I took it out.) I have a D40, which is on the smaller side, and the bag fits that, the kit lens and my 55-200mm lens, as well as the lens hood. (I should note that I have folded down the top part of the divider between the compartments, as it goes up too high and gets in the way.) I do find that the strap can get uncomfortable after a full day of carrying this around messenger-style, so a cushion may be in order.

The bag has some interior pockets, including a mesh zippered pocket on the inside of the flap, good for small/flat items. The pockets on the front are hard to get into and the hidden pockets on the side (where the strap meets the bag) might as well not even be there. The front pocket (under the flap) expands open a bit, and within that is a mesh pocket with a velcro closure. This is practically useless as the mesh is flush to the bag and the velcro is pretty tough -- I can slide in a skinny moleskine notebook, but wouldn't put anything smaller in there for fear of being unable to get it out without pliers or tweezers. There's enough room in that front pocket for a magic/Jacob's ladder wallet and a small keyring. Luckily there is enough room in the rest of the bag that I can slip in some tissues for allergy season and a tiny travel bottle of sunscreen for the summer.

I am not a gal who likes to carry more than one bag if she can help it, so was looking for something that would hold all of my gear, plus the basics of wallet, keys, etc. This barely fits that bill, but I was afraid that the next size up would be too big. Obviously if you don't take a second lens out with you, there's more room for all this other kind of stuff. But if you travel light (or make sure you always have enough pockets in your pants/coat/etc) this will do you well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect size....and beautiful product!, June 9, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: CRUMPLER 4 MILLION DOLLAR HOME BAG (Electronics)
The bag proved to be a perfect size to carry my Canon G10 with two small lenses, lens adapter, shooting cable, and there is still room to accommodate another item in the inside (e.g. an external flash), take cleaners or filters in the external pocket -pretty much things not too bulky. Carry your mobile, keys, etc. in the two side external pockets. You can adjust the size of the internal compartment so the camera feels safe in there.

The build and materials are of quality, bag is well padded and lightweight to make it good for purpose, but best of all is the looking, really beautiful to carry on.

4.0 out of 5 stars Too Big for DSLR and External Flash, January 5, 2009

I just got the bag and was dying to love it, and it is a great bag. Just too small for a NikonD90 with 18-200mm lens and external flash. It all fits, but I think it will be too hard to pull it out and put it back on the fly. Also, I don't see my wife putting everything back the exact right way to make it all fit. Therefore, I think it is too close for comfort.

I am returning this and ordering the 5m home. Hope it is not too big, but I would rather have a bag that is a too big than too small.

Great quality and would definitely recommend it for a DSLR with no external flash. It would go in and out easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crumpler is the best, January 14, 2011

You can never go wrong with Crumpler. The design looks more like a messenger bag than a camera bag. Nearly indestructible. My bag has seen a lot of wear and tear and it still looks great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, February 24, 2010
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this, because I didn't want to carry my Lowepro Slingshot 100 everywhere - just needed something to hold my camera (Nikon D80) and a few accessories. I can fit a speedlight in here as well with the camera, but that is pretty much it (other than mem cards, cloths, remote, small wallet and other tiny items). If you are looking to carry around your camera and a lens, go at least one more bag up.

Another reason I love this bag is because it fits nicely into any of my large purses when I want to carry around my camera, but have it protected.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice bag if you need something small, June 8, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: CRUMPLER 4 MILLION DOLLAR HOME BAG (Electronics)
This bag is constructed with high quality materials. It can fit a small DSLR with lens attached and an additional lens or flash. The inside is well padded and there are lots of little pockets to keep accessories. Looks are awesome. A friend asked if it was a real camera bag or not.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good looking camera bag? Who would have thought?, January 24, 2009
By

Excellent product. Bag is high quality, has good physical protection - from a company that cares about how people look. The only problem is that I have a Canon 5D w/24-105mm lens. I read reviews on other sites that said the 4M bag works for this, but IMO this bag is too small for that camera. I can't really close the flap correctly. Need to upgrade to a 5M bag. 4M is probably perfect for a Canon xsi or even a 50D/5D w/shorter lens. Crumpler - make one without velcro - it is really loud to open in quiet places. Otherwise, great product thanks!

I think this is the ideal bag for someone who likes to travel light. Attractive, well constructed, padded and just enough room for essentials
