The book is easy to read and deals with the very basics of investing. Loral Langemeier's philosophy is that everyone should take an active role in their investment decisions. 1.0 out of 5 stars The Millionaire Maker's Guide to Wealth Cycle Investing
The book is easy reading and thats about it. It gives you some examples how a few people invested but nothing in depth. It's more of a teaser to go to there website and pay for additional services. frankly, I would just read there website(s) and you will get just as much information as the book gave.

The book is easy to read and deals with the very basics of investing. Loral Langemeier's philosophy is that everyone should take an active role in their investment decisions. Her position on "park and pray" investing comes through very loud and clear. There is a lot to be said for this view point. However there is a down side. If you are not willing to do your homework and to continue to monitor your investments, direct investment is laden with risk.

While the book covers the high level view of many things, it is not an in depth, how-to guide. As she correctly points out, you must still build a team and get outside help.

One of the best messages from this book is, do your homework and do your due diligence. She makes the point time and time again, you need a team of experts. She cautions people to listen and learn. The due diligence checklist is fair and she strongly recommends that you always evaluate the management of any investment.

Again, it is a good easy to read book that gives a lot of general information. If you are looking for really in-depth, step by step, how-to manual, look elsewhere.

While this book covers some of the basics, it is far too general to be of much use. You can do better elsewhere. Think of it as an infomercial that funnels people into their other programs and personalized coaching where they can really get into your wallet.

I think the success of Loral's program is really focused on enriching well, Loral of course.

Find a group of like-minded people. Find a mentor willing to invest a lot of time in you. Pick one or more of the many businesses available out there. Diversify.

There! Two rows summarize the whole book. You really don't need to read it. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the page on "hard money lender." Sorry to say that but the book is there to make money for the author, not for the readers.

The book talked around in circles about branching out and starting your own business. I did not find it very helpful.

The main message Loral's gets across with this book is that you can't become a Millionaire on your own. She stresses the fact you have to build a team around you of people with different areas of expertise.

I highly recommend this bookand Loral's work and she shows you the nitty gritty of what you need to do to become wealthy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Millionaire Maker, May 22, 2009
This review is from: The Millionaire Maker's Guide to Wealth Cycle Investing: Build Your Assets Into a Lifetime of Financial Freedom (Hardcover)
I read the book and am not impressed. The first scenerio was the worst. The book claims that a couple making a combined $75,000 owns a house with $350,000 in equity and still owe $200,000 on it. How in the world can a couple making $75,000 afford a half million dollar house? When you make up scenerios ... at least TRY to make an attempt at realism.

The rest of the book has similar fantasies ... but none as bad as the first.

The books has an attractive cover but between the covers, other than a few new ideas, the editing work on this self-promoting / advertising for Live Out Loud, the book needs a great deal of additional editing to make it more enticing and readable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wealth is a Mindset, January 5, 2007
This review is from: The Millionaire Maker's Guide to Wealth Cycle Investing: Build Your Assets Into a Lifetime of Financial Freedom (Hardcover)
I purchased this book not long after I viewed the movie, "The Secret," and I am so glad that I did! As soon as I heard Loral begin to speak about how to reprogram you conscious and subconscious mind with empowering thoughts about wealth, I knew she was the "real deal!" She definitely hits the nail on the head with her insightful and sensible approach to wealth cycle investing! I especially liked the fact that she stresses a team approach since it greatly minimizes risk. If you are new to investing, this is a fantastic reference guide that will provide impactful and practical information without overwhelming you. This book is an absolute must for anyone looking to attract financial prosperity and abundance into their life!
