About the Author
Paul B. Farrell is a personal finance and investment columnist for the Wall Street Journal Sunday and DowJones/MarketWatch.com. He has published over 1,200 columns and frequently discusses the psychology, ethics and spirituality of money as well as practical everyday solutions. He is the author of six books, including The Millionaire Code: 16 Paths to Wealth Building, The Lazy Person's Guide to Investing, Mutual Funds on the Net, Expert Investing on the Net, and The Winning Portfolio. Earlier Dr. Farrell was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley. He has been an executive vice president of the Financial News Network, where he was executive in charge of producing nearly a thousand houses of live cable television news; executive vice president of Mercury Entertainment Corporation, a publicly-held film production company; associate editor of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner; and executive director of the Crisis Management Group, counseling executives, entrepreneurs, politicians, healthcare professionals, athletes, rock stars, celebrities and royalty. Dr. Farrell has four academic degrees: Juris Doctor, Masters in Regional Planning, Bachelors of Architecture, and a Doctorate in Psychology. He served in Korea with the United States Marine Corps, as a staff sergeant and aviation radar-computer technician. Today Dr. Farrell lives on the Central Coast of California with his wife, Dorothy Boyce, a psychotherapist.
