The Millipore Millex Syringe Filter Unit is a bi-directional inline filter unit with a hydrophobic PTFE membrane and polypropylene body. This filter unit is used for sterilizing gases, venting sterile containers, and sterilizing or clarifying organic solutions. The hydrophobic PTFE (polytetrafluroethylene) membrane is bonded to a high-density polyethylene support for easier handling and chemical compatibility. The polypropylene filter unit body provides strength, thermal performance, solvent resistance, and can be sterilized and autoclaved. The inlet and outlet connections each consist of a stepped hose barb with female Luer slip interior. It is autoclavable for applications that require sterilization.
