These are fun enough and perform as intended. Not really worth the price for what they are and they have a horrible chemical smell. It's hard to feel ok about having something with such a strong smelling plastic floating in my bathtub with my 3 year old. Also, they are packaged in a mesh bag and presumably have had a very long time to offgas in whatever warehouse they lived in before they arrived here. They still smell and I doubt they will ever stop smelling. Wonder what they are made out of?

Saw the amazing reviews, but when I received it they had a very strong TOXIC smell. Did not open and decided to return them. The sweet toxic smell is similar to some other products made from China. I don't feel comfortable having it around my child especially in water, since whatever it is will be mixed in with her bath water.

These are so fun and cute, but SMELL horrible. I am going to try airing them for a week or two before letting my toddler play with them, but if the smell remains, these are definitely being returned.

The smell of mothballs is so strong, I could detect the odor from a different floor of my house the day we tried them out. It is three days later, and the cards are in a ziplock bag ready to be sent back or trashed, and I can still smell them (THROUGH THE BAG!).

I don't know if I got a bad batch or what (sounds like no one else reported this significant a problem), and I am not sure if the smell is from paradichlorobenzene (which is found in moth balls, and is toxic), but our cards have to go, and I wish we never got them in the first place (the smell still lingers in the bathroom).

I also noticed that the ink is already bleeding out around the images.

My kids ages 4-8 love playing with this cards in the bathtub. They stick to the walls and they love switching them around creating new animal combinations. They thought is was hilarious when they made a "Turkey" out of a TURtle and monKEY. It is great that they can practice reading while getting clean and having fun all at the same time. Another plus is these cards are tough. They don't rip like normal playing cards. I would recommend these to anyone.

I love that I can just throw them in the dishwasher when they get slobbered on. The stick on the wall, they float, and they are a great quiet toy to take when we travel!

The Petite Consumer's review:

Splashimals, by Milliwik, is a fun matching animal card game...for the water. They float! The Splashimals also meet the CPSIA 2011 safety regulations.

Coos

Durable (oh yeah, they have passed the "chew test").
Multiple games for different levels and ages (matching, memory, and mismatching game).
Over 225 different combinations can be made from 30 cards.
Educational (kids are learning animals, words, and sounds...and you don't even have to teach them, cause it is fun).
Well priced at about $10.
They float!
Foam backing (makes it easier for little hands to hold...especially in the bath).
A bath toy/game that seems to have a long lifespan (due to its encouragement of creative play).
They stick to tiled and smooth surfaces (we've tested it).
Can be used outside of water too.
Have gone through third-party safety testing.
Comes with an eco-friendly mesh bag for organization and drying (bag is reusable and label can be recycled).
We likey!

Boos

Like most things, they will "wear" with extended pool use.
Older children may want to fold them in half thereby making a crease (Tell them to stop ).
Limited places to buy (We hope see more soon).
We had a hard time coming up with negatives for this products (seriously!).
The Petite Consumer Says: We have already put this on our kids wish lists! You should too!

I love this bath toy for kids:

Pros:
Durable--the cards are made of hard foam, possibly with some plastic, but my 8 month old who doesn't have teeth chews on them and they hold up.
Stickable--they will stick to the side of the bathtub, and ours is grooved. They will stay a long time, a couple have even been up for a couple days!
Words--I love that you can match up the words, or create new ones. The creators have also gone through this carefully so there are no combinations that create questionable words.
Animals--it's fun to match different or the same together.
Colors--there are colors around the animals so your child can have a hint if they are looking for the right match.
Mesh bag--this helps dry them out and they are very portable!
Fun for all ages--I have a 2 1/2 year old and a baby and they both love these and I can see using them for a few more years.

Cons:
There are only 30 cards or so (I think.) I wish there were more!
Once my baby starts teething, I think I will have to take these away for a while to protect them. I could see teeth marks probably showing up if I let a teething baby chew them.

Definitely recommend!
