4.0 out of 5 stars Review of Millwrights and N=Mechanics Guide, 4th edition, March 25, 2000

I found this guide to be full of information not found anywhere else. The topic selection is very broad; ranging from drawings and sketches, to welding and blacksmithing. His style of writing, being geared to the layman, is clear and very understandable. All technical terms are explained thouroughly, and the drawings and photos are good. My weakness is electical, but after reading chapter #22 "Elecricity", I learned more than I have anywhere else. I have found this book to be complete, concise, and full of information I can use in my everyday work. I would recommend this book to homeowners, as well as engineers. My copy will stay in my toolbox at work for reference on many different projects, and I will be ordering another one for my wifes book collection. She is very happy to find such diverse information in one book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Millwrights and Mechanics Guide, December 17, 2001

This book is very informative on the subjects it covers. However, the mechanics on my staff also work on HVAC which is omitted. There is also no mention of plumbing basics which would have been helpful. But the topics that are covered contain very good information and both apprentices and journeymen will find this book very useful. Maintenance departments of any size should own a copy of this book.
