Especially great for peanut butter, honey, oils, and maple syrup.

Would be better if there was a small handle inside to make pulling the plunger down easier.

I got a few uses out of this, and when properly used it functions as promised.

That being said, it's flimsy, hard to clean, the top layer of plastic can peel off
(as it did in my case), and feels like it might (MIGHT) be worth the $6 they're asking
for it.

It didn't last through one year of christmas baking.

I'm not buying another one of these, I'm looking for something a bit sturdier and better built.

Does what it says on the tin, pretty much. Makes measuring honey, peanut butter, sour cream, mayo and a lot of other things much simpler.

The plunger can be tough to get back into the outer tube after washing, and I expect someone with arthritis or hand trouble would struggle with that, but healthy bodied people shouldn't find it a dealbreaker. It needs to be tight to work.

It doesn't take up much space and sees regular use in my kitchen.

This Wonder Measuring Cup is great for goopy ingredients that are in need of measuring instead of the old 'eye' it. You slide the base out until the top of it is in line with your desired measurement and then fill your ingredient to the top of the clear outer rim.

Especially great for peanut butter, honey, oils, and maple syrup. Once the ingredient is measured, hold over your bowl and pour out while pushing the base back to the top. This will cleanly empty any of those goopy-sticky ingredients into your bowl, without the need of a spatula. Awesome.

On a Raw foodie note:

Another fantastic use, was using it to shape veggie/nut patties for the dehydrator. Pick your size patty - 1/4cp or 1/2 cp, take your pick. Push it out onto your teflix tray and leave as is or squash it a little with a flat spatula.

Works perfect - Easy to use - Easy to clean. Can we ask for anything more? ;)

This measuring cup showed up at Christmas time, as a gift from my in-laws.

Sigh...

I nodded, said all the proper pleasantries and promised my in-laws that it would get lots of use. Even though in the back of my mind I was grimacing about yet another useless "tool" that will take up valuable storage space in my kitchen, until said time I could sell it in a yard sale or throw it away without raising eyebrows.

Fast forward 6 months, middle of summer and I am reading my favorite grilling magazine, the Summer Grilling edition of Cook's Illustrated, and low and behold there is an blurb about a similar cup to the one that had taken up residence in my "catch all" drawer. Fate would have it that little note was written on the pages of the Alabama White BBQ Chicken (yes white BBQ), one of the recipes that motivated me to buy that issue. I've had White BBQ before, but this was the first recipe I had seen for it.

So I thought I'd give it a try, what's the worst that could happen? CI sure did talk it up and they've been good to me so far.

So I dug the poor thing out of its purgatory. Pulled the plunger down to 3/4 cup and filled it to the brim with mayo, next came the acid test. I put the measuring cup over the lip of the food processor and pushed. All the mayonnaise neatly dropped into the waiting mouth of the food processor. No fuss.

I nearly cried. My life... My life had just improved dramatically.

It was so easy. What's the catch? It's hard to clean I bet....

No it isn't. It comes completely apart and is very easy to clean, even of the stickiest substances in the kitchen.

Need a 1/4 cup of tomato paste? Child's play.

1/2 cup of honey?

One piece molded plunger is very tight and difficult to get started in the barrel after taking it apart. A better design would have been to use an O-ring on the plunger.

I love these. However I notice some people leaving reviews that they became distorted. Many dishwashers are too hot - some sanitize at 185 degrees which will distort the plastic. Wash them only in loads that don't have high temps for that cycle - and only put them on the top rack.

I have one for each ingredient that is hard to use a regular measuring cup for. One for peanut butter, one for liquid oil and one for shortening. When I am done I wipe them off lightly and put them on the rack of the door in the frig. I very rarely wash them and keeping them in the frig will keep them from developing some kind of bacteria growth.

The "White" colored ones are for dry ingredients only. The "Yellow" ones are for either dry or wet ingredients. Because of the difference in price I just buy the white ones and fill them with wet ingredients just before I pour them into the mixing bowl. It may be that something like milk (as opposed to oil) would not work in these.

Perfect for peanut bitter, shortening, molasses, or anything else that needs a little help getting out of a measuring cup.Love the tablespoon markings as well as the fractions of a cup.

This thing is great; that is, if you do a lot of baking. It is very easy to use and to clean.
