Too technical for me,

This review is from: Milton Friedman on Economics: Selected Papers (Paperback)
This book is a collection of highly technical writings by Prof. Friedman. I have an undergraduate degree in economics and this book was over my head. I would not suggest this work for someone looking for a basic understanding of economics. This is a work for the advanced student of the subject.

Great Collection, Technical, Still Friedman,

This review is from: Milton Friedman on Economics: Selected Papers (Paperback)
Great collection and exposition of Milton Friedman's clear and interesting work in micro-economics. He triumphs the insights afforded by quantitative reasoning and logical positivism.
Four stars for the book, but two stars for Dr. Friedman himself. He is rigorous throughout his arguments until he invites his students and readers to consider all human utility in terms of money. That is a giant misstep in economic reasoning. Money is like cars, money can only buy things, the way cars can only go where there are roads. |
