This is a very heavy duty unit. Best of all it has a 5 year warranty and that also covers the batteries!!! (there are 2 lithium included). You cant go wrong if it breaks. The drill does everything, driver with clutch, drill, and a hammer drill function for concrete. the impact driver comes in 2 versions and the one in this kit has a hex shaft for bits (the other has a 1/2 inch just like an air impact!! so the one in this kit must be very heavy duty)and an LED light. The light is extremely bright. The Sawzall is very smooth at all speeds and very closely represents the legendary electric equal. The kit even comes with made in USA Sawzall blades and driver bits.
One very rock solid kit with a warranty..
I am not sure what the other review was talking about as this is a lithium unit not nicad or NiMH. Some prefer Dewalt but for the last several years all but a few including Milwaukee and dewalt are made in China anyway. At least the batteries, case and blades in this kit are made in America or Canada. I own Dewalt tools also but in no way can you say they are better apples to apples and all are just a name (good marketing) to some degree. A 5 year warranty on this kit is not to be overlooked especially when it includes batteries. One note, if you are using this drill (as most any other powerfull 18v plus)all day they will tire you.
Good unit well packaged to keep tidy in the garage. This is my first Milwaukee cordless purchase, I own electric Sawzall and drill (not hammer)so this is a bonus.

Disregard the one star review. these don't use the nicad batteries. these are lithium ion, a relatively new technology to the cordless tool market. these batteries are lighter, and have longer run times than the old nickel cadmiums or nickel metal hydrides. I have this set and i love it. purchase with confidence.

I have used this set to build a deck. 142 screws 3-1/2" with the impactor. Its fantastic. Dewalt can bite me.

These are very heavy duty tools. And like some of the other reviewers noted, these are the V18 Li-Ion versions. Not Ni-Cad! I bought this kit, and also a bare-tool cordless circular saw. The V18 batteries work just fine with the Ni-Cad tools. The saw I picked up said Ni-Cad, but works flawlessly with the Li-Ion batteries. You can confirm this on the Milwaukee web site. The drill that comes with is is a hammer drill. Power on all the tools is great. I usually roll my eyes at the flashlights that seem to come with every kit out there. Seems like a numbers game..."4-piece kit!"..., but I actually find it quite good and useful.

I only have two "complaints", if you can call them that. The case is the size of a suitcase! I wish it came with a bag, like some other Milwaukee kits. The compartment for the Sawzall blades is too short for the longer blades. Only short blades fit. And, the tools are a bit on the heavy side. BUT... Milwaukee does sell the compact drill/driver kit, which is very light. I chose the heavier duty tools, so I really can't complain. You can have light (compact series), OR you can have stout (this kit). I'm actually thinking of adding the compact kit, as well, for those lighter duty tasks. My VERY old Makita and DeWalt's are still kicking, so I can't knock them, but this kit just rips them apart when it comes to brute power and run time.

Every tool works well so far. Name plate fell off the saw right away. Rivet fell out and other side came loose from housing. Saw works very well and so does the drill. Light is Ok but doubt I'll find much use for it. The screw gun is a little odd to use but think I'll catch on to it. Batteries seem to be taking charges well.

My husband bought this combo for work, he used it two weeks and the batteries died. We are in the process of returning them.
