How to Operate the M12 Heated Jacket

To turn on the jacket, press the control button located above the chest zipper on the left side of the jack, and hold the button down for 3 seconds or more. This sends the M12 Heated Jacket into pre-heat mode, which provides accelerated heat output to quickly warm you before it drops down to a medium heat output. The control button will fade in and out with a red color in this pre-heat mode. You can then control the heat level in the following ways:

• Push the button again to put the jacket in HIGH (button will light up solid red).
• Push again to go to MEDIUM heat (button will light up white).
• Push again to go to LOW heat (button will light up blue).
• Push again and the jacket will go back to HIGH.

To turn off the jacket, hold the button down for 3 seconds and the lighting will go off completely.

Just got this and love it. The jacket is very good quality and the size is spot on - none of that a "large" is closer to a medium stuff. Little extras like the zipper cover at the top of zipper prevent the zipper from poking you in the face when zipped. I had watched a video where a woman was saying you might as well just get your wife one - grin - guess who wore mine the first day and kept her toasty warm on a day in the 20s. Ordering her one today (helps that red is her favorite color)!! Most my work is outdoors and as you know the mornings can be cold then warm as the day goes on - this is perfect and don't have to layer up and deal with the hassle of that - start out at high heat>step down as needed and the jacket itself is quite warm (without being heavy or bulky) so I'd say you could easily cover a temperature swing of 40 degrees no problem. I own a few of the Milwaukee 2410 drill/drivers (best ones out there) so this was a natural being it takes the same battery. This is just what I needed and did not even know it!

If you already have M12 batteries and are a user of Milwaukee's M12 line, then this really is a good deal. The jacket fits true to size, is well made, and basically looks like a normal lightweight winter jacket, albeit a really bright red one. When you activate the heating unit by clocking the little light up button in the corner, then this thing really heats up. You can adjust the settings if its too warm for you. I really like this. If you dont have a battery already, get this one Milwaukee 2331-M M12 12-Volt Medium Heated Jacket Set

I just received my jacket and was not sure what to expect. WOW! This jacket is light weight, but so toasty. It has a pre-heat warm up and three 3 heat settings. There are three heat panels in the jacket to keep your core body temperature warm: a large back panel and one on each side of the zippered front. It is controlled by depressing a button on the upper left of the jacket lights up, either red (high), white (medium) or blue (low). It is easily visible even during daylight. Everywhere I would go, I would be asked about the lit up spot. When I explained how the jacket worked, everyone (and I do mean EVERYONE) wanted to know how to get their own. You would want to have an extra battery or two for extended outings in cold weather, but that's probably not difficult for anyone like myself that already has a set of M12 batteries for their tools. I highly recommend the jacket!
