This may work fine if you are a Mr. Fixit in your home and cutting six pipes a year. We're professional plumbers in New York City and we went through five -- yes five of these -- on one job.

The Chinese electronics simply don't hold up. After about fifty cuts, the circuit board burns out with a little puff of white smoke and you throw the thing in the garbage. If the electronics could be bypassed this thing might have a chance, but Milwaukee says to just keep sending them back for replacement.

As far as the manufacturer is concerned, they should be ashamed for taking the manufacturing of their tools to China. The stuff is simply junk. Never another Milwaukee tool for us, and we used to spend $5,000 a year on their tools.

Save your money. You can get the same poor-quality imported stuff for $29 through one of those mail order tool companies. All you are paying for here is the Milwaukee name. Unfortunately soon that will be worth as little as the five tools we throw in the garbage.

I used the tubing cutter for two days, made between 40 to 50 cuts and the unit quit working. The cutter wheel wouldn't tighten up against the pipe and it would just spin. CPO is sending a replacement. I hope it works.

Works as advertised. Just push it onto the pipe, pull the trigger, in 4 seconds you have 2 pieces of pipe. Especially handy when the pipe is between wall studs and trying to swing a pipe cutter is not going to be easy. Sure you could fire-up the Saws-all, but the ragged pipe ends need to be cleaned-up. I sure could have used this when I was repiping my parents house!

Auto-adjusts up to 1" (some others require manual adjustment of the jaw for 1/2" or 3/4" pipe), so you can spend your time cutting pipe instead of adjusting the cutter. LED is handy to see the cut line. An open window above the jaws lets you see exactly where the cutter wheel is contacting the pipe for a perfect cut each time.

Lives up the Milwaukee name. Feels solid. Well built. Lithium battery lasts a long time. Buy a spare just in case you have a long project.

I am a pipefitter and install 50 or more boilers a year. The first one I bought broke after a year and they gave me a new one for free. It works great. Cant live without it. Dont use it to cut pipes that are full of water its not a submarine.

I bought this for my husband on Amazon where it was much cheaper than ebay and he loves it. It was the perfect gift for him since he is an A/C Contractor. It saves him time and energy and I get a better, less stressed husband. For the man whom you thought had everything:)

This tool is a great time saver easy to use and not as heavy as I thought, but after about 75 cuts the blades will not clamp down on the pipe. I have set for a replacement and I will see if it lasts any longer.

I have used this product on multiple commercial jobs and have never had a problem. only wish that the thing cut bigger then one inch. would and have recommended. wish it came with more then one battery. besides that great and convenient tool.

this tool is awesome!! it takes a little time to get use to it especially if your cutting 3/8 pipe but it works sweet and I have never had problems have cut with it hundreds of times... I never have cut more than 20 times in one shot so i dont know about it getting hot from over working anyway you should have this!!
