5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for, March 13, 2009

This review is from: Milwaukee 2611-24M 18-Volt Hammer Drill with Free Impact Driver (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this combo because I needed a good cordless hammer drill. I don't really need another impact driver, but at the price I paid it's a nice bonus. My first project involved drilling about 80 holes in a brick wall for tapcon screws. This drill was easily up to the task. It has good balance, a well designed hand grip that feels good in my hand and plenty of power to get the job done. I also like the way the controls are set up. For instance, you can change from driving screws to hammer drill mode without having to change the clutch setting. I compared the Milwaukee to the Makita and the new Bosch and for me the Milwaukee seemed to be the best designed and built.

3.0 out of 5 stars Power drill..poor battery, December 25, 2008
This review is from: Milwaukee 2611-24M 18-Volt Hammer Drill with Free Impact Driver (Tools & Home Improvement)
The drill itself has lots of power..so does the impact...but the battery...would give me 10 maybe 12 3/16 thick holes approximately 3" deep and that the most... from the time u bore the first whole the battery is down a bar

As i said good powerful machines..battery life useless

i've worked the makita LXT BHp451 much better life and endurance..
