450 Ft./Lbs. of Torque and Four-Pole Motor for Robust Power and Performance
Ready to tackle a range of heavy-duty tasks, the 2663-22 packs a powerful punch in a compact, easy-carry package that measures only 8-7/8 inches in length and weighs just 6.7 pounds. Moreover, the 2663-22 supplies 80 percent more torque, over 50 percent longer runtime, and over 35 percent faster driving than the leading competitor.

At only 8-7/8" in length and 6.75 lbs, the 2663-22 provides the power they need for heavy-duty applications. View larger.
Thanks to its extended runtime and small, innovative ergonomic design, the 2663-22 allows you to get more done per charge--even in tight corners--without putting excessive stress on your hands and joints.

This impact wrench owes its dependable performance to a Milwaukee four-pole frameless motor and rough-and-ready impact mechanism that maximize both power and runtime while delivering 450 ft./lbs. of torque.

A variable-speed trigger allows you to match the correct speed to the job and offers ranges of 0-1,900 and 0-2,200 RPM. For quick and easy one-handed socket changes, there's also a 1/2-inch anvil with friction ring.

Reliable, long-lasting LITHIUM-ION power is just one part of a full feature set.
M18 Lithium-Ion Power: Compact, Lightweight, and Dependable
Cordless power frees you from the hassle of extension cords, but a cordless tool is only as reliable as its battery--that's where Milwaukee's M18™ XC High Capacity RED LITHIUM™ Batteries come in. Engineered to deliver torque, speed, and extended runtime, these batteries make use of Milwaukee's trademarked Digital Power Management technology to ensure long battery life. Additionally, overload protection, a temperature management system, and individual cell voltage monitoring guard your battery and your tools during tough jobs.

A convenient power gauge on each battery displays remaining runtime, and a second battery is included with the kit, so you never have to worry about running out of power in the middle of a task. Plus the M18 LITHIUM-ION battery charger is designed to recharge batteries in one hour or less.

Since lithium-ion batteries are significantly smaller and lighter than 18-volt NiCad batteries, they play an integral role in keeping Milwaukee's M18 tools ergonomic and comfortable to use. For added versatility, M18 tools also work with even lighter M18 Compact LITHIUM-ION Batteries (not included).

M18 Series Tools: Innovative, Powerful, and Easy to Handle
Launched in 2008, the M18 series from Milwaukee balances power and ergonomics. M18 tools pack the best-in-class, heavy-duty performance that you expect from Milwaukee into lighter, more compact bodies than those of traditional tools. This translates to improved versatility on the jobsite and reduced user fatigue at the end of the workday.

I am a professional Audi and Vw dealer mechanic. This an excellent gun. Strong enough to take off wheels but light enough so it doesn't tire you out. I hardly use my air gun anymore.

I have always trusted the Milwaukee brand tools but this one is the best !! I used to have a corded Milwaukee impact with 300 ft-lbs, never had trouble with it, and sold it for almost what I paid for it. On a full charge I went over to my buddies garage to test it out and impresed everyone. First off everyone wanted to play with it, then I changed 2 tires on a Bobcat (the reagular one couldnt even budge the lugs), did a 4 wheel rotation on a van, even striped down a whole truck transmission, and still had two bars left on the battery !!! I definetly would recomend this tool to anyone. The first time you use it to change a tire on the freeway, it has paid for itself !! Milwaukee has a great reputation, awsome waranty, and even has parts available if needed !! Dont buy some China piece of crap likle Kobalt (Kobalt dosent even make the parts to fix the tools !!) buy from an American company !!

Ok, I read many posts here and around about cordless impacts. To self disclose I am not a paid wrench by any stretch of the imagination. I am a serious do it yourselfer who has formal training as a shop teacher. While I don't use power tools anymore everyday, I know tools.

That out of the way, I have no real shop here at my house currently. I work in the driveway, the grass, etc. It sucks. I have plenty of tools that do the job, but all have drawbacks. Pulling the compressor and hoses from the shed, the extension cord from the cellar and the air tools out of my box to do a five minute job is painful, I have an older B&D/Craftsman electric impact that has served me well but struggles on real work. The design predates the newer hard hitting impacts by some time.

I wanted a cordless impact in the worst way. Snap On was the way to go everywhere I read. The new wrench looks tough, but it was beyond my price range heading into the holidays. I bought a Milwaukee 1/2" Set with 2 batteries and the 3/8" bare tool for right under $500. Only down side with this way was that I didn't get the light that comes in the set. I have a Makita 18V set a few years back, so i will use that light or my LED Rechargeable and save the $50 for the kids at Christmas. If you are jumping in and want both buy the kit, I imagine the light would be handy.

I did some tire swaps the first week, and both guns worked well. I pulled lugs from 3 cars with the 1/2" and did a focus tire swap with the 3/8" gun. I was impressed. But, as we all know, tires and lugs are easy. This weekend I did front wheel bearings on the Focus. Pulled tires, tie rods, strut bolts, Ball joints with the 3/8".

I went from an older Snap-On cordless impact to the Milwaukee and have no regrets. Several people I work with have the Craftsman Lith-Ion Impact and they were very impressed with the Milwaukee as well. 450 vs 300 ft.lbs in that case and for not that much more money. Its a great addition to my tool box!

Recently got the 2663-22 Mil 1/2 drive impact wrench. They say everything's a compromise, but I think I made the best choice. It was down to the 2663, the Snap-On 6855 1/2 gun & the Matco MCL18IWVS 1/2 gun.

I reluctantly ruled out Snap-On, only because they STILL have only a few tools that use a lithium Ion battery. I finally ruled out Matco, since, for the price of their 1/2 gun kit, I could get the 2663 kit AND The Mil 2664 3/4 drive bare tool impact--& have $100 left over! I know advertised torque ratings are sometimes exaggerated, but I emailed Milwaukee's tech people regarding how they rate the torque on their guns. They said they stay away from "breakaway" torque testing since the results of that kind of test are too capricious to trust. They only measure stall torque. Very refreshing to hear this. I feel the 3/4" Milwaukee gun is probably stronger than the Matco gun, but I can't get them side by side to compare. The Mil 3/4 gun is shorter than the Matco 1/2 gun, & you can get individual parts for most Milwaukee products. Plus that 5 year Milwaukee warranty. Matco's warranty for their cordless guns are 1 year per my local Matco dealer.

Anyway, I haven't come across a lug nut or fastener that the 2663 hasn't been able to easily remove. Today I put 4 tires on a Ford F350 Super Duty P-U.

So far I love this gun! No air hose to trip over!

I bought this tool about 18 month ago and have used it nearly everyday at work since. Im a Heavy Duty Mechanic working on the mines in Australia and use this primarily on large mobile mining equipment. Great for removing panels/covers, hyd hose bolts, keeper plates, 4WD wheel nuts etc if the battery is kept above 2 bars. Ive tested this against all the other brands of impact wrench, and only the snap on comes close but its bigger and bulkier than the milwaukee. Its been so reliable that ive bought the angle grinder and LED torch (v.bright) to suit. This is a top quality, value for money tool.
