5.0 out of 5 stars These blads CUT, September 13, 2004

This review is from: Milwaukee 48-00-5027 The AX 12-Inch, 5/8 TPI Super Sawzall Blade, 5-Pack (Tools & Home Improvement)
I used to have a 3/4" and a 1" stroke recip saw. A few years ago I bought a 1 1/4" Super Sawzall. The saw loves to cut, but ordinary blades bent whenever I'd hit something while cutting. This lead to many bent blades and much frustration. I was starting to not love my saw. When I started using the more expensive Ax blades, I loved my saw again. Now whenever I have real cutting to do, I reach for these blades. You can cut all day and still have some blade left. For demo work and a 1 1/4" stroke saw, don't bother with anything else. Happy cutting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Stump remover blades! (can't cut rocks though), February 4, 2009

This review is from: Milwaukee 48-00-5027 The AX 12-Inch, 5/8 TPI Super Sawzall Blade, 5-Pack (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought a package of these blades to use to help cut the roots on a stump of a tree in my yard. The good news is that the stump is out. The bad it took 2 blades to do the trick. Ice hardened or not, the blades don't cut rocks. The teeth are still there but they are not sharp. These blades have a 5 year warranty, but I don't see how they'd last that long... Back to my story, when I hit a small rock, sparks flew, dirt spewed, roots still cut though.

Anyway I have a 12amp sawzall with a variable speed orbital cut (1 + 1/8th) and the sawzall was up to the job. Given these blades, there is not much that will stop you.

The nice thing is that these blades did not bend, or bind. If you are pruning, I'd go for the pruning blades though rather than these. And they are a little big on the tip & long for a plunge cut into a 2x4 without drilling a hole to start.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best sawzall blades on the market, December 20, 2010
This review is from: Milwaukee 48-00-5027 The AX 12-Inch, 5/8 TPI Super Sawzall Blade, 5-Pack (Tools & Home Improvement)
You WILL NOT break these blades unless you are trying to break them on purpose. I have done demolition, tree cutting, stump cutting with these blades and I have not broke 1 to date. You will dull the blade before they break and while some may say thats not a good thing I have used DeWalt blades and other Milwaukee blades doing rough carpentry and they break before they dull. SO you never know if you got all you could out of the teeth of those other blades. These you know you got your moneys worth and you used them all you could.

These are the only sawzall blades I will ever buy and use for my crews or on any of my jobs.

This thing cuts like crazy. In my Milwaukee Sawsall I can cut through studs, drywall, nails wires pipes everything and for a long time. Very good stuff here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Demo Blades!, April 28, 2009
This review is from: Milwaukee 48-00-5027 The AX 12-Inch, 5/8 TPI Super Sawzall Blade, 5-Pack (Tools & Home Improvement)
I've been using these blades for around 5 years. These are fantastic, durable demo blades. They will chew through wood or steel. Unlike a previous reviwer, I find these blades are very easy to do plunge cuts with. They won't bend if you run the tip into something (unlike most similar blades). While doing residential demo work, I have litterally plunge cut into a wall and cut through the entire wall..removing it in a single piece. The only thing they won't cut is masonry/stone.

I can't say enough good about these blades. They have saved me lots of time and many headaches.

I had some Rigid blades. Those were garbage and would bend or get stuck or dull too quickly. I paid the higher price and went back to Milwaukee. These blades cut through nails and 2x4 like they were not even there at least with my Milwaukee electric saw and last about 3x as long as the rigid blades. On drill bits, saw blades, nails, screws and tools, made in the USA is still the best. It is worth extra money to say nothing of how much safer the blade is than the Rigid blades. Nothing more unsafe than a dull blade or one that wears out quickly. Amazon gave me a great price and shipping deal. So thanks. Hard to beat Amazon if the local hardware store won't carry made in the usa and quality.

You simply just cannot beat the quality of Milwaukee products. When they build a tool, it is the best tool in the category. Wish they would build a blower / mulcher like Toro and a mini-vac.

5.0 out of 5 stars Milwaukee Tools the best there is at this price., September 7, 2009
This review is from: Milwaukee 48-00-5027 The AX 12-Inch, 5/8 TPI Super Sawzall Blade, 5-Pack (Tools & Home Improvement)
I own a large selection of Milwaukee tools and a few Hilti tools. IMO, getting Milwaukee products are like getting Hilti products for a little less money. However, if you work in punishing, demanding conditions everyday, all day, then Hilti may be the way to go for the very long haul. For 90%, Milwaukee is a good bet

5.0 out of 5 stars Cut wood and nails like butter, July 13, 2009

This review is from: Milwaukee 48-00-5027 The AX 12-Inch, 5/8 TPI Super Sawzall Blade, 5-Pack (Tools & Home Improvement)
Love these blades. Sawzalls are usually used in spots where other saws that will cut straighter and smoother can't reach. Because of this you don't want to spend all day in this awkward spot. I have never been so pleased with my saw using these blades. They last longer and cut so well that it's like using a completely different saw. I just installed a larger window in an existing wall. I cut through several studs with nails on a wall attached to plywood. Each stud took less than a minute, I cut straight and left the plywood undamaged. Buy these blades!
