From the Manufacturer

The only screwdriver with the patented ECX bit and hardened tips, the Milwaukee 11 in 1 Screwdriver includes the 6 bits and 3 nut drivers most requested by professionals with the added utility of a wire stripper and wire bending hole. The Milwaukee ECX bit allows users to extend the life of their bits when fastening specialty screws found in electrical boxes, conduit couplers, outlets, and other common job site fixtures. The patented geometry gives the ECX bit this advantage over traditional Phillips or square bits.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
The Milwaukee 11 in 1 screwdriver is a versatile tool which can cover a lot of mid-sized jobs. It's also a nicely made tool. The quality is decidely better than the Stanley tools I own, such as the Stanley 10-Inch Multi-bit Screwdriver. And unlike the Stanley, the Milwaukee is fairly well balanced.

This screwdriver does take a minute to figure out. But once you do, it's easy to switch it around to what you need. If you pull hard on the shaft you'll find all the options:
- There's a large double ended bit with ECX #1 and #2;
- two smaller double ended bits with Philips #1 and #2 and flat 3/16" and 1/4" bits; and
- the shaft attachments which hold the bits can themselves be used as nut drivers for 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" bolts or nuts.

So that's 9 uses - add the wire stripper and wire bender and that's the 11. Though I'd probably reach for my wirestripper, and most people won't be working with solid (vs. stranded) wire all that often.

This would likely be just one of many screwdrivers you'd want to own. There are some jobs that will need larger or smaller screwdrivers. And a multi-bit screwdriver with a built in ratchet is a very handy tool to keep around the house - as a first screwdriver, most people would do best with a small to medium size one like Stanley 8-3/4-Inch Multi-Bit Ratcheting Screwdriver. But I find myself reaching for this Milwaukee often for lots of different jobs around the house.

As a handyman and more recently an electrical apprentice buying tools is an ongoing thing. I own mostly Knipex hand tools w/ a few Greenlees mixed in. I bought this driver at the local BORG store a while back, knowing that it wouldn't be nearly as high end as Knipex and assuming it was closer to Greenlee because Milwaukee tools in general are geared toward the plumbing & electrical trades. My goal was to keep less tools in my pouch and it does that, replacing a #2 phillips and #2 square drive Knipex drivers (I still carry my #4 Greenlee flathead driver for knockouts because this tool isn't built for that). There have been a couple of times that I've unexpectedly needed a nut driver and this has served that purpose saving me a trip off the ladder to the truck and that's a huge plus. I haven't used the wire stripper or curler (nor did I believe this would replace my dedicated stripper or needle nose) features so I can't really comment on their performance but they do add utility to this driver. The handle's comfortable to hold and the rubber let's us get a good grip for a solid turn. I held back the 5th star because 2 days after buying it the #3 ECX bit side had rusted, keep in mind that all my hand tools are kept in a CLC zipper flap bag that stays closed on the jobsite & comes into the house w/ me every day so there's no apparent reason for this happening other than it's cheap steel. I hesitated to get this because I saw that all the bits were proprietary and it'd be a PITA to replace one if I lost it but a replacement pack is around $5 and even comes w/ dual square drive bit that isn't included w/ the driver. Right now I like it but let's see how it holds up.

If you are an electrician, the ECX tips, built-in wire stripper and wire bending holes in shank could offset the issues with this 11 In 1 driver, but one electrician reviewer here says it didn't.

The big issue with this screwdriver is with the handle. It is to short for the average male hand. Your thumb bumps up against the wire stipping end too soon, not leaving enough room for a your hand with thumb extended, as normal. The stripper end had to have a larger diameter in order to get the wire stripper in, I guess, but the overall length of the handle was not made longer to make up room lost for your thumb. It's handle lengh is the same as most all other X-In-1 screwdrivers that do not have this thumb-stopper at the end.

The other problem with this handle, as mentioned in another review here by an electrician, is due to its larger diamenter end, you cannot insert it into a standard screwdriver loop in a tool belt. It has to be put in a tool belt pocket with the rest of your tools. In addition, the larger diameter end blocks your view of the screw target to some degree.

If the electrial features on this driver off-set the issues above for you, then it may be worth it to you. But I would recommend you try one out locally (Depot carries them I believe) to check out it's grip and size first.

If you are not an electrician, or don't especially need the wire stripper and bender, but like the more robust design of the larger shank (adds a another nut driver 3/8), then look at the Irwin/Lenox All-In-1 driver. It has the same robust design but without the electrical features. In fact the shanks, handles, and bits are all interchangeable between these three screwdrivers.
