I have been using this extension in my drill driver for a while now and holds power bits really well without much of any wiggle or play of the bit. They seem to be have a strong build to them and the mechanism to hold the bit works pretty smooth. I also have the Irwin lock-n-load bit extensions and they don't seem to hold the bit as tight as the Milwaukee.

I have used this tool to extend the reach of my impact drivers into areas that were to confined for the actual tool to reach. It was most useful while replacing windows in my house. The new vinyl replacement windows came with screws that needed to be placed inside the frames at the corners very close to the glass. Without an extension the diameter of the impact drivers and the short reach of the bits created an excessive entry angle for the screws. Using this extension allowed me to reduce the entry angle a significant amount without having to resort to more expensive options such as right angle drives or flex drives.

It's one thing to be able to extend the reach of a hex driven bit with something that holds it firmly. It's another to also be able to quickly change it out without the chuck jamming up. So this is the only brand I've found that can do both reliably.

I purchased this hex extension at the same time I purchased a Milwaukee hammer drill. The hex extension works wonderfully and give just the right amount of distance from the body of the drill to the work surface. It is so simple to fit bits into this baby, yet it manages to hold the bits tightly in its grasp. A great little product!

The shaft seems extremely sturdy. The chuck was a bit sticky at first but loosened up.

Note: Be aware that the chuck is actually pretty bulky so this is not well-suited for getting into very tight spaces. However, you can usually work around that by using a longer bit.

This is a solid extension. The locking feature is very handy and has held up well being driven by my cordless milwaukee 1/4 inch impact on a near daily basis. If you need a quarter inch hex extension, look no further.

Used this product with a milwalkee m12 impact. Worked as promised. Quality of product appears to be very good, but time will tell. I am recommending it because it does what it suppose to do.

I bought this in both 6" and 12" for use as an accessory for my Dewalt 1/4" impact screwdriver (my favorite tool). It's chuck accepts the same bits as the Dewalt. It's a Milwaukee, so you know it's gotta be well made. The only thing that kept me from giving it the fifth star in the rating is the fact that the chuck is just a bit "Bulky". I would recommend this to anyone looking for an extension for their 1/4" Hex tools.

Love this bit extension, however I have had the tool for about two weeks (used) every day with my new m-18 impact/hammer drill combo and now the bit is stuck in the extension and can not be removed. I would recommend the tool for any homeowner but not for anyone in the construction field.

Worked great in the beginning, but I only used it evey other week for about 2 hours, off & on. I never used it in a hammer drill or impact driver, just to spin screws out. The rubber o-ring broke, but it still worked. Then later the bits would fall out. Now its pretty much worthless. Good luck finding out where they warranty these. It's supposed to have a lifetime warranty, but no one including Milwaukee tells me how to get this replaced. I wouldn't suggest buying one.
