5.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice Screw Driving Set
I bought this screw driving set to match my 18v Milwaukee Hammer Drill but I find myself using this set more so with my 14.4v Dewalt drill. Great little set of everything you need in terms of screw driving bits and you can throw it right in your tool box or tool bet and you have everything you need and it doesn't take up much space plus it has a magnet on the back and...

3.0 out of 5 stars good idea...
I bought this about 4 months ago, and I loved it. There are a ton of hex heads. The magnet is nice, you can slap the holder any where, and it sticks.

However, I won't purchase this again. Its a pain in the butt to constantly have to rotate the head around to find your bit. If you are in low light, its difficult to tell which bit you want. You end up...

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice Screw Driving Set, March 28, 2008
This review is from: Milwaukee 48-32-1700 Insert Bit Screw Driving Set, 20-Piece (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this screw driving set to match my 18v Milwaukee Hammer Drill but I find myself using this set more so with my 14.4v Dewalt drill. Great little set of everything you need in terms of screw driving bits and you can throw it right in your tool box or tool bet and you have everything you need and it doesn't take up much space plus it has a magnet on the back and you can place it right on something magnetic when working. I like the fact that you can turn the set and once you get to the bit you want it falls right into your hand making it easy and fast to switch bits. The extender bar is nice to as it slides so it helps to hold screws in place when you are driving them. Only issue is its a little difficult to get the extender bar out of the top but other than that its a great product at a great price and is very easy and convenient.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product at an awesome price!, April 16, 2008
This review is from: Milwaukee 48-32-1700 Insert Bit Screw Driving Set, 20-Piece (Tools & Home Improvement)
Milwaukee is a great brand, and this is a great product. With a high power magnet on the back, it will stick to anything metal.

A nice variety of bits, and a cool case to keep them in.

A great buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful set! Here's exactly what's included:, November 14, 2010

This review is from: Milwaukee 48-32-1700 Insert Bit Screw Driving Set, 20-Piece (Tools & Home Improvement)
Quantity noted where there are more than one:
Three sizes of phillips head bits: #1, #2 (7 qty), #3.
Torx #15, #20, #25
Square #1, #2 (3 qty), #3
Slotted (flat head) #6, #8

This is a terrific assortment of the most commonly used bits, in a compact and easily accessible drop-in container. Dial to the desired bit, turn it upside down and it drops right out into your hand. Return it to the recess when you're done, and dial to 'X' the empty slot to make sure everything is secure.

We accidentally dropped this 8 feet (from a ladder) to a concrete floor the very day we received it, and there was not so much as a scratch on the plastic shell, let alone anything as unfortunate as a crack. The shuttle still moved as it did before, the bits all stayed secure inside.

The bits are precise, the included extension shaft is a wonderful addition, and it all works with my Dewalt drill as it clearly would with any other. We really couldn't have been happier with the product, or the value it represents in terms of bang for the buck. Highly recommended.

Very nice little marketing set by Milwaukee. Especially like the magnet on the back side where you can "slap it" anywhere on a metal surface. You cannot go wrong with the Milwaukee name.

I bought 2 of them when amazon had them for $2.99, one for my father and one for myself. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because of how small the labeling text is for each bit.

A must have if you are ordering an electric screw driver as it has the same driver end that fits into the driver. The dispenser makes it easy to select the right bit. Just make sure you turn it to an empty slot or you will loose some bits. And the price is right!

5.0 out of 5 stars drill driver bits, May 25, 2011

Nice to have a small set I can stick on the side of the tool box. Would not recommend walking around the job site with set on the outside.

4.0 out of 5 stars I bought it at 3 bucks so it's hard to complain but I will anyway., November 4, 2008

It's cheaply made. That's a sticker on the top of it, not the logo stamped on plastic and the color of my sticker doesn't match the case. The driver guide isn't the one pictured and I didn't really like the action on mine (something scratches the inner cylinder as it moves back and forth. I have an identical Chinese-made DeWalt driver-guide I got from a hex bit kit with slightly smoother action.

I criticized another reviewer for complaining about 7 identical bits, not realizing that the bit types and sizes are actually stamped in the plastic which bugs me more for some reason, as labeling it wrong makes it seem like a dumber thing to do.

It's also taller than I imagined. The bits are sitting at an angle and there is some additional clearance on the bottom beyond that so it's just a touch big for putting in your jeans pocket. I'd guess it's ~1.5 inches high.

The magnet is just not-quite powerful enough for my taste. It sticks to the side of a metal toolbox just fine but not with enough strength to avoid sliding down. Just a scotch more and it would be good. That should be easily upgraded though.

That said, I still like the design. It's a practical and reasonably compact way to carry bits around and fits fine in a coat pocket. The way it dispenses bits makes it easier to remember to put stuff back before reaching for another one and is faster and less messy than fishing around in a box. I'm unwilling to test it but the plastic seems to be of reasonable enough quality that you could drop it from 10' and not be surprised if nothing shattered.

I'd give it 2-3 star rating for mediocrity but hey, 3 bucks. Even at 10-12 bucks you're getting a fair number of hex bits that aren't redundant and a decent dohickey for selecting and storing them. It's just disappointing because it doesn't have that same Milwaukee feel that you get when you first see one of their metal drill bit cases. I'm guessing it's cheap because it's discontinued or is just not selling and I can see why. People buy Milwaukee because they like quality. This is practical and cheap but definitely not high quality.

Next time, I will purchase a a box that opens. It is so much easier and quicker to find the bits you need.

The bits get stuck in "roof" of the case and are nearly impossible to retrieve. The case doesn't come apart. Bits aren't long enough to use without the quick change adapter. The adapter is several inches long. Disappointing product. I was tyring to save a few bucks by buying this instead of Makita. My mistake.
