So this is a drill adaptor to allow you use a power drill to tighten and loosen bolts and nuts. This is made of tough hardened steel so it will certainly stand up to the power of any cordless or electric drill without issue! I bought a set for my tool bag and my car. Why, because it also gives you nut drivers with the addtion of a socket set and hex bit screw driver. Meaning you can carry a smaller kit. I'm really pleased with this product given it's high quality and low price!

I finally picked up a set of these. I use my impact driver frequently working on cars, to run in or out long or awkward bolts and nuts. I've been using Dewalt's version, and while I haven't broken one, the 3/8" and 1/2" adapters get especially long. Unnecessarily long, in my opinion, since near as I can tell, shorter adapters would be stronger. These adapters, all 3 sizes, are the same length as the 1/4" one, which is about the same as Dewalt's 1/4" adapter. It seems trivial, but that missing 1/4" to 1/2" of length can be critical, like working on the side of an engine next to the fender. It can mean the difference between zipping bolts with the impact on a couple seconds, or spending a couple minutes fiddling with a ratchet. This alone gets them 5 stars... I wish they were as short as some of the cheap ones I've seen, little more than enough hex shank to lock in the chuck and the square anvil, but these are good enough, I don't trust the quality of typical cheap ones.

Time will tell if I can break them, I'll try to remember to update if it happens.

Update: Snapped the shank of both the 3/8" and 1/2" bits the same day, using a Makita brushless impact. Not sure why, since I've let it hammer on plenty of fasteners before without breaking them. Oh well.

Used this for awhile in my 1/4" hex impact driver when working on the vehicles. I've since gotten a Fuel 3/8" impact wrench, but this adapter held up fine in the time that I used it, and if you don't really do enough work with sockets to justify buying another cordless tool for that, it is a great little item to have.

I purchased this after having problems with a cheaper adapter. I do not have the same fit or wear problems with this one. Milwaukee make some of the best hand tools in the industry.

This adapter is significantly better than the Harbor Freight version I was using. The Harbor Freight model was not held as tight and tended to slip out of the 3/8-inch socket so that the square edges on the adapter began to get rounded off. I have not seen this with this Milwaukee tool.

Not because they break but instead to share with others and to have one in each of my tool bags.
With cordless impact drivers getting more powerful, I have upgraded my sockets to genuine impact grade for fear of breaking my very nice (non-impact rated) tools. Along with changing sockets, an impact grade adapter was needed. This Milwaukee is the perfect way to use 3/8 inch drive sockets with tools made to drive 1/4 hex bits. Milwaukee also makes versions with 1/4 and 1/2 inch square ends.

Exactly what I needed. Very well made. Good buy. I will use it often. Better made than most other brands.
