Unlike a previous reviewer - this review is about the product purchased - not whether or not Milwaukee should have provided a hard case with the V28 4 piece cordless tool kit.

The case is high quality and is fairly priced. It has storage for the drill itself, belt clip, charger, batteries, and the side handle with room to spare.

I would highly recommend this case to anyone with the V28 or V18 hammer drill/Driver.

I will, as it seems to be somewhat of a theme, mention that I purchased the 4 tool V28 set, and then, very soon afterward, came back and picked up the cases.

The cases fit better in the truck, that's all. For a home user, they aren't likely to be needed. For a contractor, if you can fit the large bag in whatever you're using to transport the tools then you won't need them. If you have a service truck, these cases a great to keep everything nice and safe during transport.

I do notice that the handle for the drill often pops out of its spot; it amuses me to see how it can do so even if the case has not moved or been bounced around on the truck. Outside of that this is great for carrying everything you need ~ drill with battery, extra battery, charger, and the belt clip.

I purchased this for my 18 volt Li-Ion cordless drill. I did my homework on Milwaukee's website before ordering. This case is listed as fitting not only the new 28v Li-Ion but the 18v as well. Unfortunately the fit is less than perfect. The drill w/battery will go in and will stay secure with the lid closed, however, the way the drill nests is just not quite right.

If you are a perfectionist, avoid this case. If you are looking for protection and easy transport for drill, 2 batteries and the charger, do a little work, make them fit and go.

This case may work perfectly for the new 28v rig.

This case fit my drill and new charger and batteries. It arrived promptly. Then, I decided that the 18v Li-ion batteries would be a good gift for my dad and he would need a case also, so I bought another. Then, brother wanted a new charger and batteries he and asked my to buy him the charger and batteries and a new case. Both cases arrived promptly.
