5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Tool Bag. Suitable for a Heavy Industrial Environment., September 16, 2011

My last several tool bag purchases have all had something in common: The company who made them put a lot of effort and focus on how the bag looks on the shelf, and from there they seemed to cut corners on the small details that eventually results in it falling apart or disappointing me in some way.
Not this one, not Milwaukee. Finally it seems that someone had a person sitting at the design table who had actually spent time working with tools, and carrying toolbags.
Evidence of this is in the PROS:
- Metal clips for the shoulder strap. They look better and will last longer no doubt.
- Padded bottom. Eliminates the chance of damaging tools resting in the bottom of the bag when you throw other heavier tools on top of them. It's very padded, more so than most.
- The pockets are well stitched. They are not too loose, not too tight (a major complaint of mine with most every other bag I've owned).
- The larger pockets on the inside of either end appear to be made for a drill battery, or something of that size. But, I've found they are perfect for a 30' tape measure or keeping plastic jars of small items like wire nuts or crimp on connectors in. This is a major improvement because previously I was unable to fit those items in any kind of pocket at all and they frequently got damaged by the other metal tools.
- Looks great. Not many others have this bag so it gets a lot of looks.
- The handles are not flimsy, they are sturdy, stiff reinforced handles.
- Wire reinforced top and base means it won't look like a dirty, wet bag of rocks in 6 months.

CONS:
FYI - I still gave it 5 stars because for the price of this bag the CONS are acceptable compared to the price (for under $30 they can't give you the world), and these things are secondary to the pros:
- Shoulder strap has a rubber piece on it to protect your shoulder. It is too thin and slides all over the strap and rarely ends up on your shoulder.
- The bag is big enough in size that unless you store light objects the shoulder strap is not a good carrying option. The handles are extra strong, but the strap seems extra light.
- Zipper could be better quality. This is not a big deal to me personally because I keep it opened 99.9% of the time for easy access. If you are in a harsh environment AND need to use the zipper often then weigh this CON heavily.

Highly recommend. For the price tag it is a very high quality item.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Suitable General Purpose Tool Bag, July 21, 2010

This review is from: Milwaukee 48-55-3490 Contractor Bag (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have owned Milwaukee tools and accessories for many years. This tool bag was the right size to hold minor maintainance tools and parts. I found the construction to be more than sturdy and durable. The opening is the exact size of the interior, so what fits through it will come out without putting it on an angle- especially useful for the 1 1/8" box open wrench which always migrates to the bottom. The zipper is the super heavy type with self repairing teeth- not bad for those of us who are not too careful where we go or what abuse we heap on our carriers. I would like the bag to have two zippers, but it's not a real inconvenience. The side pockets and end pockets are good sizes and fold back when not used. overall this bag is a well built, excellent quality carry-all which I would gladly seek out again if this one were lost or destroyed (my job involves some risky situations).

If you own the Milwaukee M12 series tools, then this is the perfect bag. The battery charger fits nicely in the large inside pocket, while the other smaller inside pockets can hold the batteries. And there are extra pockets for drill bits and other accessories. It can hold up to 4 M12 series tools (I have the drill, impact driver, right angle drill and Hackzall saw) with some room to spare.
