I've had my Milwaukee tool set for over ten years. The charger that came with the original set was faster to full charge and the batteries seemed to last longer also. However, since the original is no longer available, I guess this replacement will have to do, and it's getting the job done. Got to give Milwaukee credit - in all this time I've never had to replace a battery cartridge. I have two, I bought a set with a Sawzall and a 1/2" drill, they get a fair amount of use, and they all hold up very well.

The charger is fine. They last about 2 years - some more some less. The $46.00 +/- charge is within range of what you can expect from several mainstream vendors. But watch out for the advertised fact that this item qualifies for Super Saver Shipping. It does but...if you purchase it using One-Click Shopping the Amazon pricing machinery will slap on Standard Shipping costs. YOU must change the shipping method affirmatively to Super Saver Shipping. Since One Click shopping suggests that you will be subject to a minimum number of steps, you might find (as I did) that this adjustment is unexpected and a bit buried in the process. In fact, you may well gloss right over it (as I did). Once the item is priced, you have 30 minutes to discover your mistake and cancel the order but you would have to realize that the charge was incorrect.
It's a small irritation (unless you make a larger purchase) and amounts to an error on my part for which I take responsibility. However, it also smacks of a gotcha - especially after you've decided that Amazon had the best available price.

I ordered a battery charger for my Milwaukee drill and am more than satisfied with it. The entire process was easy, efficient, and completed with no confusion, gimmicks, or additional run around.
The nice thing about ordering things from Amazon is that it is always a straight up business proposition. The people whom I have had the good fortune to do business with thus far on Amazon are more concerned about the quality of their products because the people who purchase from them do give feedback and recommendations.

Doesnt work like a new product should. Batteries have to be slid on and off several times before it will make a connection. refuses to charge one of my batteries no matter how many times i try it and i know its not the battery. looks like a cheap replacement works like one too

This one is a lemmon. After charging an 18V battery 5 times, it stopped working. Rock bottom quality.

If you only use your cordless tool occasionally, you should probably NOT purchase this charger. This charger will NOT charge a completely dead battery. According to Milwaukee Tools tech service, the battery must have ~3V of remaining charge in order for this charger to charge the battery. IF THE BATTERY VOLTAGE IS BELOW ~3V, THIS CHARGER WILL NOT CHARGE THE BATTERY.

This is probably not an issue for somebody who uses their tools often, but if you are an occasional user (less than once per month), it is a real pain. If you have 18V batteries, buy the Milwaukee 48-59-2818 18-Volt to 28-Volt Lithium-Ion and NiCad Slide Style 1-Hour Battery Charger. It's cheaper and it WILL charge completely dead batteries.

PURCHASED THE CHARGER AS A BACKUP, BUT HAVE PRESSED IT INTO DUTY. WORKS GREAT.

Very prompt delivery. It works better than the one that came with my Drill. Batteries slide onto the charger better for some reason, they fit better. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Item was shipped in a reasonable amount of time and everything worked out just fine.

My old charger failed, I ordered a new and had my cordless batteries recharged with a minimum of inconvenience. I recommend Amazon.com for their excellent service. They saved me from having to drive 30 + miles each way to purchase a new charger from a store, plus the time involved. The price was also right.
