Worth the money,
By James Ingraham (Greensboro, NC United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Milwaukee 48-89-0050 29-Piece 1/16-Inch to 1/2-Inch Cobalt Twist Drill Bit Assortment in Metal Index (Tools & Home Improvement)
These are what drill bits should be, they are straight and sharp. I was using my drill press when tired them. First on wood, they started where I wanted, no skipping, cut clean, both entry and exit, true, with out deflection, and with such ease from the smallest to the largest in softwood or hardwood. This wasn't love but it was a thrill I was totally satisfied right then but I had to try metal. The same results I don't work with Stainless or Titanium. These bits are a real pleasure. These are the most expensive set of Drill Bits that I have ever purchased I'm sorry I spent so much money on cheaper bits.

Don't Know How I Got By Without 'em,

I know what you're thinking, "THAT'S $6.00 A BIT!" Well yes it is, and it's worth every penny. I thought the same thing, but after a very frustrating experience trying to drill cast iron with lesser bits, I decided it was time to try something better. My wife bought me this set as a gift about 2 years ago and I love them. I abuse these bits and they take it with a smile. I'm one of those guys that's too lazy to get the out the cutting fliud when a I only have a couple holes to drill. I regularly drill steel angle without lubricant and my bits are none the worse for wear. I did manage to dull one drilling too fast in a stone tile. Thinking, "maybe all cobalt bits are this good," I bought a Steel-X cobalt replacement. I ended up throwing the brand new Steel-X in the trash - the dull Milwaukee was still better. If I ever manage to wear these things out, I fully intend to replace them with the same set. If you're suspicious or don't need the larger bits, then try the 13 peice set. You won't regret it.

Good drill bits are getting harder and harder to find! These are the fastest and smoothest bits I've found for drilling metal hands down.
