Allow me to recommend this product. I can only attest to it's value for the home. I live with two family members who are hard of hearing. Therefore everything with audio is loud: TV, stereo, radio and speaking. To make things easier for my elderly father, I installed a wireless speaker to allow him to listen to the TV. Even though the speaker is only 18" from his head, he plays it commonly @ 85db measured at that distance.
These ear plugs roll out easily and remain narrow long enough to get it into the ear canal. It slowly regains it's previous volumne and seals out sounds very sucessfully. Even though the plug is deep in the ear, there is plently of plug left sticking out to grab in order to remove. BE WARNED*** These plugs seal very effectively. Therefore you MUST carefully remove the plug S-L-O-W-L-Y as there will be a strong vacuum and you may damage your eardrum if you are too aggressive. As far as sound reduction, it makes it easy for me now to remian in the living room without my ears bleeding. '¿'

Someone I know has a lot in common with a lion or a wild boar when he is sleeping. The noise is such that I would never get any sleep at all unless I used some very good earplugs. These are some very good earplugs.
They're made of a soft, rubbery plastic that you roll into a soft tube and put in your ear. Then, over the next few seconds, the world gets quieter and becomes blissfully silent. Then you can sleep, read, study, whatever you want that needs a little peace and quiet. (These also work well when you want to ignore noisy neighbor parties) This package of earplugs is great for long term or for use by multiple people. The plastic jar that holds the earplugs keeps them clean, and is a handy addition to any nightstand. It's one of those rare, simple product that makes a claim and lives up to that claim completely. I couldn't recommend them any more highly.

This is an incredible value, especially seeing that I got 4 boxes for the price of one box almost anywhere else. I am thinking about getting another 4 boxes just so i'm stocked up for a few years. I own a landscaping business and use these a LOT. They are manufactured by Howard Leight (which is the top brand in earplugs) for Milwaukee. Can;t say enough what a good purchase this was!!!

These foam plugs are reasonably priced but do not, in my experience, provide the noise suppression as EAR branded plugs. The fit was good but I did notice the very smooth surface left my ear feeling a little damp. I used the plugs for mowing with the same equipment as always and was able to notice a difference. I believe the Milwaukee plugs gave me enough protection for this activity but wouldn't trust them to protect my hearing while using a noisy chainsaw.

I am a very light sleeper and have tried many different brands of earplugs over the years. I've always had the same problem, though: The earplugs go in nice, but end up falling out during the night, which is really a pain. But that problem is non-existent now, thanks to these Milwaukee earplugs. I bought these during a Friday sale and got a great price on them. The price was so good, in fact, that I was skeptical that they would work. But lo and behold, these are the best earplugs I've ever used for sleeping! Roll the tip a bit between your finger and thumb (to make it a bit narrower), insert the earplug into your ear, then hold it in place until the tip expands to fit your ear snugly. Repeat with the other ear, and you're good to go! These earplugs block out a lot of sound, are comfortable, and easy to use. It's also nice that the earplugs are individually wrapped in pairs. This makes it real easy to pack some for traveling, or for keeping some on-hand in the glovebox of the car, your briefcase, or whatever. I'm really glad I bought these!!

I've needed to use earplugs for a very long time to get to sleep. I used to get various brands of 32db earplugs at the local drugstore until it seems that Flents and other brands changed their formulas and the earplugs became very soft/mushy and did not block out the level of sounds they used to. My partner snores. A lot. Very. Very. Loudly. With these other earplugs, with the reformulated foam, they did not block out the sound they used to and I'd go sleep in the other room.
I saw these were on sale here at Amazon and thought, hey, they're cheaper than the kind I was getting at the store, so even if they aren't at a higher db reduction level I'd be spending less than normal (and I was already trying out different brands trying to find one I liked). Granted, 200 is a lot of earplugs, but I'm going to be going through them all. These are earplugs great - good fit to the ear, they're not too soft/mushy, and they seem to work better than these new reformulated earplugs that claim to have a higher db rating. This was a very surprising purchase, one I'm glad to have made

Watch for a good price and buy these,

Bought four boxes of these at 6.99 shipped, per box of 200 pair, with each pair sealed in a little bag. No better price anywhere... not even close. Handy box has a little trap door to keep them all in, but allow pulling a bag out one at a time.
These are nice feeling foamies rated at a standard 29 nrr for foamies. These are manufactured for Milwaukee by Howard Leight Industries, the standard for foamies, and are this non-corded model is made in the USA according to the box. They squish fine and insert fine. Soft foam makes them easy to keep in for hours on end. I use them for construction and shop and Harley riding on long trips that would have left my head ringing. These would also work great for sleepers. Very soft. Watch for these to come up at a low price and buy bulk. UPDATE 21Mar2010: Sadly, I've never again seen the price get anywhere near that low. I keep this and other products in my Amazon 'cart' and check often for the price increase/decrease alert... but nothing yet. I've gifted a box to a 'sleeper' friend that loves them. Down to 2-1/2 boxes and getting panicky I won't get them for a song again. However, I'd pay the twenty dollar going price for them (or just get the Howard Leight equivalent, depending on price) in a heartbeat. In the meantime I'd be watching for that deal again. I keep bags/sets in the saddlebags, in the gun/range gear kits, in the shop, in the truck, etc. These foamies have gone as far as Afghanistan for helicopter, general air travel and weapons fire (including fending off mortar fire), and soon Iraq out of general principle.

I shoot a lot and was going to use these ear plugs in conjunction with my regular ear muff type hearing protection. I put the ear plugs in and they worked so well I started shooting, forgetting to put on my ear muff hearing protector. Good value.

I have migraines that make me unbelievably sensitive to sound. These block it out almost totally. They're very comfortable. I love the fact that each pair is individually packed, so I can keep a packet in my purse or my pocket to use whenever a migraine hits.
They're also great for blocking out the clamor in certain public places.

I did not think this item had very good material or sound reduction. I have had other ear plugs made of foam that work better and last longer.
