Product Description

From the Manufacturer

These 1-1/2 in. rotary hammers deliver outstanding drilling performance in a lightweight package. Milwaukee's patented vibration isolation system greatly reduces operator fatigue by absorbing the hammering action with floating handles. A soft-shift stop rotation knob permits the operator to smoothly change from hammer-with-rotation mode to the hammer-only mode. An 11.0 amp motor combined with an electronic feedback control circuit allows a full 6 inch thin wall Core Bit to be driven through 5000 PSI concrete without bogging down. The on-off switch is coupled with a speed dial so that the speed and blow energy can be correctly matched to the application or accessory. The bit locking system features one-handed click-in bit insertion. The Quik-Lok® cord allows for fast twist-off, twist-on cord replacement. A pre-set clutch protects against sudden motor overloads. The service reminder light indicates when the carbon brushes will soon need to be replaced. This versatile tool can be used for drilling up to 1-1/2 inch holes in concrete with SDS-max Bits, larger holes in concrete with Core Bits or the LHS system, or used for chipping, chiseling and demolition.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bosch Eater, April 18, 2005

I cant believe I'm the first to review this product, Milwaukee

does not have popularity in this category yet but look out they soon will.

I have used this roto hammer for over a year now and its performance is flawless, the only reason I gave it a 4 star is that it lacks a "lock on" switch for hammer only mode, not a big deal for some but for me yes.

This little dog can break 3 inch slab no prob, it drills 1-9/16

holes all day long, it diggs holes in rock hard ground, it scrapes 40 year old linoleun tiles of the floor, it removes any type of floor tile with ease, and many more tasks.

The weight and balance of the tool is phenominal almost zero vibration is generated to your hands. This tool is iron tough

and I would put it against the Bosch and Hitachi for durability

and performance any day.

5.0 out of 5 stars A workhorse hammer, January 18, 2008
This review is from: Milwaukee 5315-21 1-1/2-Inch SDS-max Rotary Hammer (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have been using this tool with a 3 inch chisel to break up ceramic tile. It has preformed well without any problems. The only complaint I have about the tool is the handle. With extended use(several hours constant use), the handle tends to loosen and slip. I found myself freqently repositioning and tightening the handle. Also, this hammer is probably the lower end for this type use. A larger hammer would probably be a better choice for this heavy work.

It is much bigger and better than its picture in Amazon when you get it. Powerful tool when you use it.
