Mina's Joint was a great read! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Mina is your average 'around the way girl' that seems to have found her way out. She has the world in the palm of her hands because of her fiance's family, prestige, and money, but in gaining the world she's losing her self and her soul. She's fighting the battle of trying to uncover just who the real Mina James' is and during this period of searching, Victor, a teenage crush re-surfaces from her past and she finds it a struggle to stop him from sparking that inferno that burns between them. Mina's Joint has plenty of drama, action, and unexpected plots that keep you captivated with this tale.

The characters are very distinctive, entertaining, and bring an extra snazz to Mina's Joint.

Ms. Ervin is a very gifted writer, although with 'Mina's Joint' her style of writing seemed more similar toward another's authors style. Ms. Ervin is a force to be reckoned with. "Chyna Black" is still her best piece of work in my opinion. I do see growth, and I give her the earned props, because she is an excellent writer and an asset to Urban Lit!

Keisha Ervin you did the Damn Thang on this one!!! This has to be the best book I've read in a long time. I loved all the characters in this book, they all seem to just come alive, and boy do they. They make you laugh, cry, and wanna kick some ass! Each characters has a different side and background to them. Delicious had to be my faviorte he had me LOL through out the entire book! Mina's family reminded me of "The Klumps" they are funny as hell. And VICTOR!(NO WORDS CAN BE PUT INTO WORDS) Mina's character is a sweet and funny person, but she is torn between love and money, (What we do for money) just follow your heart it won't stir you wrong! Mina learns what it feels to be truly in love, and not in love for all the wrong reasons. I won't tell spoil the book, but go out and buy it!!!

I tell you Victor is unlike any man that I have known. Do they really make men like that? If they do I am definitely looking for one cause I definitely fell in love with Victor. The best parts of the books was Victor's. That other dude really sucked I really don't see why she would want to be with anybody like that in the first place I don't care what amount of money that he had. The book was alright it had some good parts in and than there were some get on with it parts. I realy did like that the author made the main character in this book a thick girl. This book would make you want to fall in love if you already haven't.

I have to keep saying your name over and over. These readers don't realize that they are truly sleeping on you. First you did your thing in Me and My Boyfriend, then there was Chyna Black. Now Mina's Joint girl what is next cause I see you are not going anywhere you are making your mark on the literary world with characters that are not easily forgettable. Meesa and Black, Mina and Victor. I just can't wait to see what is next. Readers I implore you to go and buy all three books they can be read over and over again because they are real life characters at least the author paints that vision in your mind. Keep doing Ma LOL as Victor would say........

As always, Ms. Ervin never fails to diappoint me. "Mina's Joint" was well worth the wait! I am always impressed with her ability to bring her gritty depiction of street life to life in her books. I am a BIG fan of "The Lou"(St. Louis), and she has the ability to make me feel like I am at" my home away from home" even when I'm not there. Her character development was on point, making it very easy to follow the characters and the story line. I would highly recommend "Mina's Joint" to every fan of street fiction.

This book was really good, but then again i didn't expect anything less from Keisha Ervin. It really pulls you in and makes you fall in love with the characters. Although i must say tha Victor was my favorite, of course. He stuck by her no matter what and i like how Mina evolved through the whole book, to the end especially... a must have book.

I checked this book out of the libarary Monday morning. I finished this book today! It was one of the best books that I have ever READ.If I didn't have to sleep or go to work, I would have finished reading it sooner. Before, the other day, I did not know that this book existed. I love Keisha Ervin's style, I love even more that we live in the same city. She has made me realize that writing a good novel is possible. I will start on my dream of becoming a wonderful black author coming out of St. Louis!!!! GOOD JOB KEISHA, I AM GETTING ALL OF YOUR BOOKS FOR MY COLLECTION...P.S. YA LEFT ME HANGIN' GIRL AT THE END....CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT'S NEXT!

I LIKED THIS ONE ALSO. AGAIN NOT AS GOOD AS "TORN" OR "CHYNA BLACK" TO ME BUT IT WAS A PAGE TURNER. IT WAS MORE COMICAL ALSO WHICH KEPT ME ENTERTAINED. I WAS HAPPY TO READ ABOUT MO & THE REST OF THE CREW IN THIS ONE AS WELL. THESE CHARACTERS ARE JUST TOO COMICAL TOO REAL AND THE BOOK(ALL OF HER BOOKS) ARE JUST TOO DAMN GOOD. CANT PUT EM DOWN ...NOT AT ALL! I SHARE ANY BOOK BUT HERS LOL!!! SHE'S THE BEST!!

I read Torn first, then decided to purchase Mina's Joint. I was not disappointed, but I thought it would be heart-wrenching like Torn and it was not. The best part of the book was Mina's family. Her mother and Auntie had be rolling...... Good Job Keisha.

I couldn't put it down.
She needs to write another book to pick up where this one left off.
Can not just leave us hanging about Mina and Meesha!!
