SYNOPSIS

In the 1990s, infamous dirt bike rider Larry Linkogle began a revolution. Fed up with the culture of motocross racing, he along with his friends set out to create a new sport. The high-stakes, often death-defying world of freestyle motocross was born and took fans of extreme sports by storm. Though Linkogle rose to legendary status with his record-breaking stunts and rock-and-roll lifestyle, his inner demons and self-destructive behavior eventually led to his demise.

Director Adam Barker s Mind of the Demon is a morbidly fascinating look into Linkogle s brilliant yet haunted psyche. Narrated by Motörhead front man Lemmy Kilmister and featuring interviews with experts including Travis Pastrana, Carey Hart, Riki Rachtman, Jeremy McGrath, Trigger Gumm and Christian Fletcher, this award-winning documentary rebuilds the thrilling story of the birth of freestyle motocross. Past and present intertwine and drive Linkogle s story towards two possible conclusions: glorious comeback or nosedive into self-destruction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great. February 15, 2014
Format:Amazon Instant Video|Verified Purchase
i was kind of bored one day and rented this just because and I was surprised how good it was. It really goes in depth on Linkogles story and because of what he does(freestyle motocross), a lot of his story and progression is on tape. That makes it a lot more interesting and better to watch. Its kind of a story about redemption without the BS things that normally accompany these kinds of docs. A lot of interesting and funny California surfer type characters that tell it like it is.Watch it if you get the chance. It will surprise you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Flick October 27, 2011
Format:DVD
I caught a screening of this film at a festival this year. It's sometimes tough to watch such a talented individual trying to tear himself apart--but it's entertaining and the music rocks. This was one of the better character pieces I'd seen in a while.

I look forward to owning this DVD.
