This book is about mind map, a method to maximise the potential of our brain. This book contains many example, the book also have many easy instruction. This book tells us how to use mind map in different case, such as for study, for management, for diary, etc. This book is very great, it really can make me study faster and my grades increase. I would reccomend this book for secondary high school student to adult.

This book is hopelessly misleading. It gives an idea about how to draw mind maps, but also gives a horrendous idea of where they are appropriate within learning to learn.

The book more or less junks other forms of note taking in order to market other Buzan products. Nonsense about left and right brain (which has been debunked since the 1970s) is constantly presented as an argument for using your whole range of cortical skills (which cannot even be measurably seperated).

It leaves the reader thinking that just drawing one of these things is good enough. Whereas you really need to be internally active in order to learn.

There is also a crackpot scheme for helping the world to mindmap. If this isn't a cult manual, I don't know what is.

Pseudoscience, quackery, mind myths, and lots of stuff to get you to buy more of the same, without seeing to the needs of learners.

I once heard that management consultants like mind maps, because they are simple. Sounds about right!

Motivational speakers use their whole brain, but the left side has nothing right, and the right side has nothing left!

Learn to use a variety of graphic organisers, and learn to apply them to specific situations, and please don't tell people that you are doing it because otherwise you would not be using both the left and right sides of you brain.

This book presents "Radiant Thinking" and "Mind Maps" - a new concept of problem-solving, note-making and organizing thoughts.

Radiant Thinking (from "to radiate", meaning "to spread or move in directions, or from a given centre") refers to associative thought processes that proceed from or connect to a central point. The other meaning of "radiant" are also relevant: "shining brightly", "the look of bright eyes beaming with joy and hope", and "the focal point of a meteoric shower" - similar to the "burst of thought".

The Mind Map is the external expression of Radiant Thinking. A Mind Map always radiates from a central image. Every word and image becomes in itself a subcentre of association, the whole preceding in potentially infinite chain of branching patterns away from or toward the common centre. Although the Mind Map is drawn on a two-dimensional page it represents a multi-dimensional reality, encompassing space, time and colour.

The author claims that brain functions traditionally associated with one side of brain reinforces functions of another part of brain. Instead of saying "I'm not predisposed to some skill", you should say "I should develop this skill", because developing a skill in which you are weak develop the whole brain and reinforces the function or ability in which you think you a strong.

There are many sample Mind Maps throughout the book, some of them are state of art.
