My life saver!, December 20, 2004
This review is from: The MindBody Workbook with Patient Panel DVD (Plastic Comb)
For anyone who is suffering from chronic pain, The Mindbody Workbook with Patient Panel DVD is for you! I've been a competitive martial artist for 20 years and have had many injuries, but none as dehabilitating as my recent back injury which has prevented me from working for 5 mos. now. I've tried everything from surgeons to bodyworkers to juice fasts - Nothing has worked until I met Dr. Schechter, bought his Workbook and DVD and started his program. The Patient Panel brought me to tears. It was singlehandedly the most effective tool in my recovery process. I heard my story in every single person. I instinctively knew that if they could get better with worse injuries/pain than I had, then I certainly could recover too, and I have, each day I work Dr. Schechter's program.

THE ONLY CURE, January 2, 2005
This review is from: The MindBody Workbook with Patient Panel DVD (Plastic Comb)
If you are reading this - take note:
YOUR LIFE IS ABOUT TO CHANGE FOREVER. IT CANNOT BE THE SAME.
When you are ready to get to the ROOT CAUSE of why you have - and get - neck, back & shoulder pain, headaches, body pain anywhere, illnesses, and diseases -
You WILL BE READY to experience this FIRST-EVER Workbook & DVD.
Dr. David Schechter ROCKS!! I suffered on/off for most of my life from numerous body ailments & pain. Then it became CHRONIC.
I tried every form of doctor and treatment. NOTHING WORKED. I found my way to Dr. Schechter's office in L.A. after seeing his website www.mindbodyhealing.com and he tested me.
I have HEALED the pain and muscle spasms I was experiencing!
I now KNOW that the mind & body are ONE. Using the workbook allowed me to process Subconscious emotions of ANGER & ANXIETY.
These hidden emotions induce physical symptoms and come out in our bodies. The DVD is the first-ever of its kind - a panel of "healed" clients are interviewed and share their journeys from hell to healing. TMS is totally benign, yet the pain is horrific. Western medicine won't tell you about this - most medical doctors do not believe it. Their loss. Our gain.
So, got Schech?
If not, get him now.

Relief from the pain of Tension Myositis Syndrome, March 25, 2011
This review is from: The MindBody Workbook with Patient Panel DVD (Plastic Comb)
Dr. Schecter's "MindBody Workbook" and DVD provide support for patients with Tension Myositis Syndrome. Dr. Schechter was Dr. John Sarno's patient. He has built on the foundation of Dr. Sarno's work and developed his own approach, which is definitive but flexible. "The Mindbody Workbook" is a series of questions, framed in a reassuring way, that remind the patient that his or her concerns are both normal and treatable. The workbook also functions as an inspiration and guide for more free form journaling. The DVD is primarily a discussion with a panel of TMS patients who lived in pain for months and even many years. They tried every remedy they could. The went to specialists who did their best, but their pain persisted. Finally, when they were diagnosed with TMS, they got the direction they needed. These individuals explore and explain in detail what their experiences were before, during and after treating a frightening condition with the psychological and emotional tools they learned to use, including "The MindBody Workbook." Articulate and thoughtful, they speak with honesty and depth about moving from fear to confidence to freedom from chronic pain, either in steps or almost instantaneously. The DVD also clarifies the difference between "psychosomatic" and "imaginary" and between "taking responsibility for oneself" and "blame." A real contribution to those suffering with TMS.
