5.0 out of 5 stars Finally got my copy - OH... MY... GOD!
The buzz about this book has been so intense that I felt a little weird getting it. You know what it's like when you anticipate something so much? I remember when Celestine Prophecy started building up steam this same way and when I read it, it was great to confirm that the book truly was excellent. This book was just like that. This book is exciting in so many ways...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I have expected :(
The title is great, but most of the ideas in the book are just common sense. I'm disappointed by the hype this book is trying to generate.

It's not a bad book. It's just not giving you enough information. Just like a short course on writing, you learn the principles but it will take a lot of efforts to work on it and to do it well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hype and more Hype, November 30, 2002
By
This review is from: MindControlMarketing.com: How Everyday People are Using Forbidden Mind Control Psychology and Ruthless Military Tactics to Make Millions Online (Paperback)
How disappointing! ... This book has absolutely nothing new in it. Each chapter is summarized in two pages and then followed by a series of inane cartoons that simply re-summarize the chapter. Imaging how complex and informative the chapter must be if it can be summed up in a cartoon. Dropping words like "Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle" and making obscure references to US Military Manuals (in the same breath as mentioning "The Art Of War" by Sun Tzu) and using hoary old chestnuts like Maslow's hierarchy of Needs and the experiments of Stanley Milgram left me cold. ... I read about these in first year psycho in the 70's.
The biggest hype is in the Introduction by Joe Vitale ...
Not worth it. That's my opinion.

This is the rare kind of book that opens your eyes to so many different things and twists your thinking in so many ways that you will never be the same after reading it. Don't miss out what everyone's talking about.

I know that I have tried many things to get my business going and I have also spent a lot of money doing it. After reading this book I realized I should be doing a lot of things differently.

Mark has done an amazing job at putting a great book together with information that can help anyone trying to get their online business going and making money with it. I think that any person, especially those that are just starting their online business, will benefit from this book and save a lot of time and money.

I read the book in one sitting and I have to tell you that it met and exceeded all my expectations. I've been following Mark's work for a few years now and this guy knows alot about how an online business can succeed.

I've already started changing some things about my online business after reading the book and I'm very pleased with the response.

Conclusion: It's a must buy!

1.0 out of 5 stars Read all reviews carefully, May 27, 2003

(...) I did not find this book helpful. I believe that it's too short, and not specific enough to help anyone just starting out in business. If you are an "internet marketer", who sends out newsletters and pitches to sell marketing hype nonsense to people, you might find this book interesting enough.

Somehow, I have managed to start a company several years ago, that had $5M in sales last year without using any of the techniques spelled out in this book. A better book for Internet business beginners is "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Starting an Online Business".

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a book the blows the lid off HOW to internet market, October 19, 2002
This review is from: MindControlMarketing.com: How Everyday People are Using Forbidden Mind Control Psychology and Ruthless Military Tactics to Make Millions Online (Paperback)
As a physician, psychiatrist and internet marketing expert myself, I know the vital importance of persuasion in ANY marketing copy. People often need to be ethically convinced about why they really need your product or service. The internet has its own rules, the key one being it is in a constant state of flux and change. What NEVER changes is the need to master proven marketing concepts. The author is himself a well known and successful internet marketer. His book is well thought out, with copious examples and copy. He really shows you what works and why. I would highly recommend this book if you are serious about having an e-commerce presence.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning! Perfect for Beginners and Experts, October 27, 2002
By

I've been teaching Marketing at various schools in Australia and the U.S. for 30 years now, and I've read just about every book on the subject of marketing and influence there is. This book ranks right up there with "Selling the Invisible", "Guerrilla Marketing", and "Scientific Advertising" as one of the absolute greats. If I were to recommend 5 books on marketing, this would be one of them. This is one of those rare books where the beginner will instantly grasp profoundly valuable concepts and the expert will walk away with new information and a new understanding. Anyone who isn't blown away by this book has got to be a little daft, I think. A book like this comes along perhaps once a decade.

I thought there was too much hype surrounding the book and I honestly didn't think that the book could really show me how to make money with my online business. But, I was so wrong.

I borrowed a copy from a friend and it blew me away. I learned so much and after reading the book and I had nothing but great things to say about it. And I realized that the hype was for real. It's truly a great book.

Go out and get this book or else you will regret it.

I have bought a dozen books on internet marketing to help me with my business, but none of the books can compare to what I have learned from Mark's book. This book is not going to leave my side. Not only was the book so funny and entertaining, but I learned a lot about the rights and wrongs in marketing. Thank goodness for this book, or else I would have lost a ton of money.
