5.0 out of 5 stars Every woman should read this little book.
Dr. Earl Mindell's books are easy reading, chock full of information about alternatives for healthier living. In this book, women will learn how to deal with PMS, irregular periods, menopause, hormones, etc., and how our bodies work. We have been hood-winked by our doctors into believing that Estrogen is the answer to all our problems. Estrogen IS our problem. We get...

2.0 out of 5 stars The Progesterone Fallacy
In this book Dr. Mindell states that natural progesterone has absolutely no side effects. This is not true. If he would have truly done his homework, he would have found that a lot of women who have tried to take any of the progestins (provera, natural progesterone cream, etc.)find that their symptoms worsen. This review is from: Dr. Earl Mindell's What You Should Know About Natural Health for Women (Paperback)
We get bombarded by BAD Estrogen from all sides. Our meats and milk are LOADED with these bad Estrogens. (another reason to give up milk!) Progesterone is what we need, but it isn't pushed on us because the drug companies can't patent it! Thank you Dr. Mindell for opening my eyes!

This review is from: Dr. Earl Mindell's What You Should Know About Natural Health for Women (Paperback)
In this book Dr. Mindell states that natural progesterone has absolutely no side effects. This is not true. If he would have truly done his homework, he would have found that a lot of women who have tried to take any of the progestins (provera, natural progesterone cream, etc.)find that their symptoms worsen. Some women are very sensitive to any kind of hormone fluctuation (including their own). Since hormone levels vary from day to day in women, and vary from woman to woman, it is not possible to come up with a "cure" that works for every woman.
