Timely college book,
This review is from: Mindful Eating 101: A Guide to Healthy Eating in College and Beyond (Paperback)
I purchased this book to send with my daughter to college since I felt it was a non judgemental and wonderful way for her to begin the best years of her life. I would highly recommend this for anyone. I read it before going to Mytle Beach (the capital of the buffet) It helped me not gain the vacation 10 lbs I normally would have taken home with me. So both of us will benefit from this one book.

First of all, I found many grammatical errors in this book that I just couldn't let go, mostl because of the sheer amount I found. They were very simple mistakes, such as spelling choose as chose and such but it really annoyed me. I was also hoping that this book would be aimed more towards the different ways you could find to eat healthily during college. There were some little jewels in there that inspire you to eat better but it is mostly geared toward people who are developing problems with overeating or other eating disorders like bulimia and anorexia. Overall I think this might be a great book for those who want a general idea of what to do if you have these problems, but it is not much help if you just want to learn general ways to adjust your eating habits to a new college environment.
