A winner!,
This review is from: Mindfulness and the Therapeutic Relationship (Hardcover)
Unlike the first reviewer, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Clearly the theme centers around mindfulness and how it relates to the therapeutic alliance as (opposed to, say, clinical disorders) so it might be confused as being repetitive; however, I did not find the subject matter to overlap. The authors did a masterful job at teasing apart the various aspects of this construct and supported mindfulness' effectiveness within each domain. Recommended!

This review is from: Mindfulness and the Therapeutic Relationship (Hardcover)
Therapy books dealing with mindfulness usually address it as a technique to teach patients. This book offers a whole new angle on this process, suggesting that mindfulness practice by the therapist can help facilitate the therapueutic relationship, and thereby outcome.

I had to read this for my psych class and i was very unhappy with this book. It says the same thing over and over and it really was a boring read.
