From the Artist
Hans Lundins musical history goes way back to 1964, when he was sixteen years old started his first band and after ten years playing with various other musicians, he had shaped an identity all his own as a musician and songwriter and went on to form Kaipa in 1974. Following the release of the self-titled Kaipa album and until 1982, the band had played well over 500 concerts and released five albums highly acclaimed by the national press and fans alike before fizzling out due to constant personal changes. With the amazing comeback album Notes From The Past, Kaipa suddenly stepped out of the shadows in 2002, bringing their folk music inspired progressive rock back into full blossom and with the album Keyholder in 2003, they were able to bring their music to an even higher dimension.
Kaipas music holds a unique position in the music scene, with their progressive rock coloured by the centuries-old Swedish choral and folk music traditions. The result is a timeless music, which is equally as valid today as it was 30 years ago and will continue to be so for years to come.
Later this year a CD box will be released including remastered versions of the three first Kaipa albums plus 2 CDs containing unreleased material and live recordings. Several never published songs from the original Kaipa demo recordings in the summer of 1974 will also be included.
