I don't want to have to check each app individually for that information.

Comes with lots of accessories and that's very cool but product is poorly maintained from a software angle. Unless you want something that is half as functional as the pandora app on your smartphone, this may not be for you. Setup is complicated and you will need a USB flash drive. Most people have one but if you get caught the day that you can't find yours, its going to be trouble. New Appz are released about once a week but 90% of the apps that are released are useless radio stations. The other 10% are pretty cool when they work but the software is extremely buggy and frequently the servers running the thing go down which reduces it's functionality to 0. Karotz is half as functional as the old Nabaztag:tag which is replaces from the change in companies. NFC is cool and it does come with two tags which is very cool, that way you get to play with the functionality. Lower your expectations before purchasing. Also keep in mind that voice commands only work when you walk over and push the button. So for it to even read your Facebook, you have to walk over to it, push the button, say the command prompt, wait for the app to load, then push the button at the same time. Conversely, you could grab your smartphone sitting right next to you, and easily be able to just check your facebook so much faster. If this thing were overhauled with lots of new appz and functionally, and support it could be sooo coooool But the development isn't there and the software surely isn't there, so it's not really worth it.

It's cute and offers a lot of promises, but this ended up being a very expensive paperweight for the following reasons:

1. It was really hard to configure - the online instructions didn't work and after much searching online, I found the app that allows configuration through the USB port (no links on the site - yay Google :)

2. The ears don't line up - whenever they rotate, there's a more than 1" difference in where they line up when supposed to be in the same position (fully up, or fully down).

3. Most of the apps malfunction or don't work - the very simple ones (like text-to-speech) works great. The weather app worked for about 2 days and now stopped working. The facebook app never worked. News and RSS readers do not read just the text - they read all the HTML markup as well ( translates into "ampersand-n-b-s-p-semicolon" - so news RSS feeds (like the included Google one) is really hard to understand unless you're reading along online.

4. Very few apps and not many options to customize - you can set voice recognition commands for Karotz, but only on a few apps. Apps like the Google News Top Stories app doesn't allow for customization, so you have to remember exactly what the title is that came with the app to fire it up (or assign it to one of the nabaztags).

I'm a total tech geek and LOVE my toys. Automation is the way of the future, but this is definitely 2 steps back. I would pass on this product.

Tragically, I bought two of these monsters in March - this was going to be the "big gift" for my partner's birthday in April. I bought TWO specifically for this feature: "If you're in a long distance relationship, you can "marry" two bunnies together and they'll mirror each other's ear motions no matter how far apart they are".

Surprise! No, the bunnies can't get married. This is blatant false advertising. The original company who made them was going to develop that app. They went bankrupt and sold it to another company, one that has NO intention of developing it.

Does it have a web cam? Yes, and it works as advertised. I could get one for $10 at Target that does the same thing. My computer has one built in. This is not a wonderful reason to buy Karotz. Does it monitor your feeds? Yes and no. Sometimes, when it's working, but the rss feedfetcher hasn't worked in months. Most of the 400 apps are Canadian radio stations played through a tinny sounding speaker.

Yes, the bunny talks, and it tells you the time. Furby talks, and it's less expensive. Karotz is, for all intents and purposes, a $130 really buggy clock.

When notified about the false advertising last April I was offered a refund. This really put my partner in a bad spot of giving me back the "big present" I got her, or trying to make nice and saying "thanks.. I really... love it. No really!" She decided to keep it, so I turned down the refund. HUGE mistake. Her Karotz hasn't been turned on since May. It just sits and collects dust.

I tried to make a go of it, and let the little thing chatter away to itself on my desk. About a month ago I hit a wall when the rabbit stopped connecting to the internet on *their* end. I wrote tech support a passionate letter about the white elephant...

Out of the box this device could be considered silly... fun, but silly.. at least for some. However, when you add "stuff" through paraimpu and IFTTT.com, the device can do some pretty cool stuff. For example, send a tweet from you phone with a hashtag WORK, and you can have your Karotz read aloud to all who are back at home that you are now leaving working and be sure to call me if you need me to pick up anything at the store. It takes a bit of programming to get there, but it's possible. In this way it can be used as a signal device for those in your home who aren't as computer connected at ALL moments. How about sending messages to your dogs even!?
