This review is from: Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory (DVD)
This documentary is fascinating and provides a great look at the evangelical subculture in America. The only downside is that it is a little too "90s" to seem totally up-to-date. Randall Balmer is the top of this field, and this is a great resource for anyone interested in evangelical culture. Very fun.

Pleasantly Surprised,

The potential viewer will gain a greater sense of how far America has come, spiritually, over the last few centuries. This video looks at the various church denominations and movements in the United States. It spotlights several Christian churches from differing socio-economic and racial backgrounds. I watched it during a History of Christianity class and was surprised because I am an alumni of Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake. It hit on the fundamentalist movement that influenced camps and schools like Word of Life.
