A great collection of practical information for the budding Minecraft warrior.

Seven pages are devoted to describing weapons, with another two about armor. Seventeen pages detail the hostile mobs that populate Minecraft. Details on reaching and defeating the Ender Dragon are provided. Four pages each discuss Enchanting and Potions. The remaining 29 pages explain multi-player activities of a combative nature, including details on how to build and raid battleground fortresses.

Another excellent title from Mojang, the U.K. publisher Egmont and their U.S. counterpart Scholastic. Please keep them coming! There is a satisfaction in possessing and sharing these physical guides to the nearly infinite Minecraft play-space that some people still "don't get"!

It tells you what you should allready know. The 1st book covers about 70% of what is in this one just in a little more detail and pictures. It has a..... Hard cover, full color pictures, and easy to read large print. For some reason this book is taller and wider ( 1 cm ) than the first two and dose not have HI-gloss photo paper just regular book paper then again I bought this book from the UK and its not made by Scholastic.

After I picked up the book on construction (which my son liked a lot)
I decided to buy this one too. Overall I feel it's probably the more useful book of the 2 (the construction book is good but more for ideas than specific details)

This combat book though is quite different. It starts off with basic weapons showing you how to craft swords/bows, with a useful table on durability too and information on how to repair them. Other areas covered are TNT (a very popular one!) and armour. Bottom line the basic stuff you need to know with the recipe information right there for you.

You also get a guide to the various monsters in the game, creeper, spiders, zombies, skeletons, witch, enderman, wither, and lots of others... all the information you want is here. Their health, what they are vulnerable to, and tips on how to defeat them.

Enchanting is also covered in detail taking you step by step through the process, as are potions (helpful and harmful!)
The later part of the book covers multiplayer, battle strategy (including forts and traps) and achievements.

I am not an experienced player (more a novice) so I found the guide very handy. My son is more advanced though and knows quite a bit (he still found the book useful though, esp the info on enemies health and the charts/potions)
So for a newer player I think a great guide to pick up. For more advanced players might be handy to have as a reference guide, but might not get as much out of it. Both books are quite different, for ideas get the construction, for detailed information get this one. Or if you're like me get both!

My son loves these books. Insists on keeping them all together. Has all four. These are very special to a six year old that loves minecraft. Even if they can't read everything in the books, I find he really appreciates looking at the pictures and telling everyone what the creature or blocks do. Even though most adults don't really get this minecraft thing. With all the graphic overload in video games the 8 bit is doing some butt kicking.
