4.0 out of 5 stars A must read for alternative health practitioners!
Walters is not the best writer I've ever encountered. The first half of the book is a rambling and frustratingly vertiginous conglomeration of history and anecdotes. However, don't let that scare you off! Dr. Orlee is brilliant and the information about the connection between DNA, the spine, minerals and amino acids is invaluable. Putting Orlee's chart into action has...

I bought this book and find myself referring to it on a regular basis, but to be honest, I feel like I'm still trying to make sense of it. It really does feel like it's written in another language. I find myself re-reading sentences over and over again wishing that the author would just state the facts clearly and simply, instead of rambling on and running topics...

Putting Orlee's chart into action has taken many of our clients to a whole new level of health!
If you are a holistic health practitioner or just a knowledgable health buff, this book is a MUST read.

This book has been very informative. I am an RN and did not know that Splenda could shrink your Thymus gland between 30% to 50%. That is where your white blood cells have to go to learn what to do. It shrinks as we age anyway but I don't want to help it go down....

Before reading this book I did not know a thing about minerals or genetics codes and I am still unable to give a speech on the subject. That said, "Minerals and the Genetic Code" should be a must read for anyone who cares about theirs and others health, and the health of the planet. I highly recommend this book. It's such an easy read for anyone regardless of their past understanding of the science of genetics. On top of being very informative it is very entertaining as well. Buy this book, read it, and pass it on to family members or friends. Be warned, you may want to keep it and have your friends buy their own book. No kidding!

I just love this book. I've gotten so much from just the tidbits in this one, and using the Genetic Code itself as a reference. I refer to it again and again, and so enjoy the author's way of sharing his info. I realize this subject of minerals is a key to many health issues, even the ones of "unknown origen".

I bought this book and find myself referring to it on a regular basis, but to be honest, I feel like I'm still trying to make sense of it. It really does feel like it's written in another language. I find myself re-reading sentences over and over again wishing that the author would just state the facts clearly and simply, instead of rambling on and running topics together.

Sad, but I still can't figure out if what Olree has proposed is that a mineral must be present in large enough quantity before it's associated amino acid can be constructed. So does that mean that we can discard the theory of there being "essential" amino acids that the body can't manufacture (that have to be sourced from food)?

I haven't quite figured out how the I Ching fits in, but I'm not bothered by the association. In fact, I've seen other sources that map amino acids to the Tree of Life in Kabbalah, and find that fascinating.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great start, then disappointment., February 7, 2010

This review is from: Minerals for the Genetic Code: An Exposition & Anaylsis of the Dr. Olree Standard Genetic Periodic Chart & the Physical, Chemical & Biological Connection (Paperback)
This book started off with great promise. There is some shocking info about fluoride and other subjects, and a lot of the opening material is very interesting. However, once getting into the meat of the book, I found it completely unintelligible. Perhaps it's true that he's talking about the secrets of minerals and genes, but the author was certainly unable to reveal the secrets to me. I simply could not decipher what he is saying, and couldn't learn anything practical. A dissapointment after the great beginning.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter as she had met Dr. Olree. I ended up reading it myself. Don't know if I could explain it to someone else (it was interesting) but my daughter is a Licensed Reflexologist and it made sense to her.

This is another book my son requested as a gift. He is an organic farmer; I know nothing about it, but he had a borrowed copy, was very happy to have his own as a valuable reference book, and I was happy to find it. Not in any bookstores that I could find!
