It Replaces The Pricy Apple Product. Works The Same Its Also Durable And No Difference!

My son owns one of the 14 inch imac computers. Most of them develop defective displays, which developed lots of vertical lines across the entire display. They appeared one at a time, and continue across the display until it was so badly distorted, it was impossible to be used. I was on Amazon's website one day and thought of an idea, which consist of installing a remote monitor, onto son's Imac. I did some research and found that his Apple Imac had a video output port, to be used with an additional monitor. I ordered this adapter, plugged it into the defective Imac computer with defective display, and immediately saw the same display image on both sets!! yes we were both happy. There were lines still on the origional imac display, but not any on the new display we added. We made some video preference adjustments, and now my son is happy again with his Imac!!

I have a Mac mini that I wanted to hook up to a standard monitor. Once done, I turned on the system and monitor and noticed the colors turned washed out with enhanced blue tint. All connections were hooked up properly. I borrowed a friend's cable which was an official Apple product to hook up the mini to my monitor and it worked flawlessly. Hence, the problem lied with the product. The company provided fast shipping but the product is not up to par.

This adapter arrives quickly, which was great. But the first time i used it, the plastic case that surrounds the mini-dvi side broke right off. I was able to snap it back on, but the connection never worked. I tried to save a few dollars buy not buying the apple one, but now I'm shopping all over again for a working cord.

I got this one very cheap and if i am not mistaken it was produced by apple too.easily connects your macbook to a projector or TV with a RGB or so called VGA port.if you need one get one!

This is a great item to have. It allows you to plug your mac into any VGA. It doesn't degrade the video signal.

I bought this cable to hook my Mac Mini to my Sony TV's VGA input. It works well and I've had no problem with it. I'm watching streaming movies, DVDs and using it for general computer work.

Cheap cable- arrived broken, had to tape it to fix it. Worked 2 days and died. It's so cheap I don't understand how people are not ashamed of selling such stuff- maybe because dumbasses like me are tricked in buying that crap you could say.

The cable I bought stopped working after just over a month. I contacted Eforcity, as I had bought the cable with a "lifetime warranty", but they refused to replace the faulty product, stating that their return period is 30 days. What, pray tell, is the point of a lifetime warranty if you can't return the thing?? Very disappointed and have had to buy a replacement from another website. Beware!

Not enough detail in the description, was not the right cable, had trouble with the company when I wanted to return it, only a 15 day return policy when you have to wait on THEM to give you numbers and the return shipping was more than the cable itself so I am stuck with it, will not order cables again. When I went back to check the picture, I did not receive the cable I ordered!
