I HAD MY DOUBTS ABOUT THESE LITTLE COPTERS, BUT DECIDED TO TRY ONE.
I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED, THEY ARE A LOT OF FUN. AND TOUGH, AS IN LEARNING TO FLY IT I CRASHED INTO WALLS A FEW TIMES. BUT IT DOES TAKE SOME PRATICE TO LEARN TO FLY THEM WELL.

PS, I GOT MINE AT A DIFFERENT WEBSITE, WHICH I AM SURE I CANT MENTION HERE, BUT THEY GUARANTEED IT TO FLY OUT OF THE BOX, AS THEY TEST EACH ONE. SO SHOP AROUND.

I bought 4 of these at once that averaged out to be $19 per copter, the 1st one was great for 30 minutes,(3 - 10 minute flights) then the gears started locking up and then locked up completely. The 2nd was D.O.A., the 3rd was D.O.A., the 4th is working "so far" for 10 minutes. I'm not sure if it's the copters or the seller I bought from, but I think it's the copters. (I didn't buy mine from this seller or from Amazon) They seem to take crashes well, it takes more skill than most to fly, but can be done. They charge up in about 20 minutes from the remote control that uses 6 AA batteries. If you want to test these as a cheap 1st copter, I suggest that you check carefully the return policy from whoever you buy from. I recommend that you search remote control helicopter reviews and spend a little more to save the hassle. I'll update this if and when the 4th copter dies. Good luck.

This was a great buy. I love rc toys in general and this one was no disapointment. I ordered it as a gift for my son, he and I have been all over the house with it. Fast, durable and can fly very high. I have 25ft ceilings in my house and all thwe way to the top no problem. only con i have is they are hard to control the direction of flight but that is normal for a 2 ch rc toy.

this helicopter does not lift off the ground. My son and grandson both have tried to follow the limited directions to get the unit to fly correctly. it is very disappointing.

Although there was a minor issue that needed correction with the toy,I have NEVER encountered quicker or better service. On a Holiday weekend I was repeatedly contacted by this company and assured that any concern would be taken care of right away! I would buy any product from this company in the future and must give many thanks to Mr Dan Howard who took time from his own celebrations at this time of year to make things right for my 6 year old son! As I told Mr. Howard, This service gives me faith in the goodness of people. I am sure we will enjoy this product for years to come.

I never write reviews but I was so frustrated with this item I had to do it! My wife bought this for my 44th birthday. Yes, I'm still a kid at heart. The main rotor broke within the first fifteen minutes of play and during that time it never flew without spinning around and around, regardless of how I tried to use the trim. As you would expect, there is a warranty for the first 90 days, but you must send it to the specified address with a written complaint and prepaid postage...no phone number...no web site. They may replace it, but I'll bet it'd just break again. If you look on Amazon, you can find the replacement rotors. How many other toys have replacement parts on Amazon? Does this tell you something? Not worth the additional money to me. Save yourself the hassle and skip this product. I would not recommend this toy to anyone. I gave one star because zero was not an option!

I picked one up locally from Spencer's. It was great for about the first 30 minutes and now all it will do is nose-dive. It won't even hover now and I can't really see anything wrong with it. Not that I'm an aerodynamics specialist, and the manual is seriously lacking in information on how to troubleshoot. It says "you may need to remove and replace and or adjust the tail in order to regain a proper 90o alignment" but doesn't tell you how to do that.

The tail rotor broke within the first few hours as well. It came with a spare but I don't expect that will last long either, assuming i can ever get it to fly properly again.

bottom line: avoid this junk

Ever since I was a kid and long before video games, R/C cars, boats and the like were every young kids dream. When these began to appear on the market and with the newer technology and of course substantially lower prices this season I had decided to get one for my son for the holiday. Granted you I am sure understand that even though it's a gift for my boy, it's also a toy for US, cause dear ole' Dad was getting some fly time too. I will be honest and tell you I read all the reviews on so many of these helicopters that I began to fuse them all. My main motivating factor was money. Not sure of the product I was not going to put anything over $25 into a purchase. Since many of the reviews I had read talked about instability and difficulty in flying it made the financial end of the purchase easier. The Mini was at the time on sale for $10.00. It arrived well before I expected it too, sent from an outside vendor. At first I could not believe that this little thing which does fit in the palm of your hand could endure one crash yet alone several. IT WAS AWESOME! We loaded the controller with batteries, plugged it in to charge the copter and away we went. It takes a minute or two to get it to trim out and there is a trim rheostat on the remote. Flight time varied as the batteries we started with (dad forgot) were not new. Although he flew it better than I did and actually got it to stabilize quite a number of times. Even got it to steer which is done by using second control to "bump" the rotor to spin it left or right rather than turning. So far it has crashed on everything from the television to the ceiling and back down to the floor. He even crashed into the radiator and wound up in a sticky trap. Gently pulled it off and he was flying once more. I have but one and a very important critique and that concerns the plug in to the helicopter. The plug male from the controller does not-or did not with ours-stay in the female mounted with the motor below the cabin shell. You have to position it just right or hold it in place. That's not fun. I will say that I would have been willing to have paid much more and am quite glad I found all I wanted in this little "toy."

Bought two of these for Xmas. quickly broke despite skilled user. Supposedly replaceable main rotors can't be removed without breaking copters, or once replaced, copters have no lift. Manufacturer is ignoring requests for return. Avoid this design!
