The ONLY Scooter for a 3 year old!,

I bought this scooter today for my 3 year old. He had a skateboard with handle bars on it and it was ackward and dangerous so we went out to look at the 3 and 4 wheeled scooters designed for younger kids. We checked the "grow to pro" scooter as well as the "liquid metal" and "e-balance" scooter and the hot wheels 3-wheeled scooter. This one was the easy choice. My 3 year old son got on it in Toys R Us and was gone like a rocket. He can steer it easily and the handle bars are the perfect height. Maximum weight is about 70 pounds so it can't hold the bigger kids but my 3 year old son can now keep up the 10 year old kids on their scooters!

This little scooter is my best purchase of the year, I bought multiples of this scooter for all my little kids to have at all our different houses (city, beach and mountain locations), and my older child (7) tries to steal it from the younger ones because it's so much fun! (Even though he has his own "big boy scooter"). This scooter with the two wheels in the front has allowed my little ones who started using the scooter at ages 2 and 4 to practice their balance skills and feels like real big boys. It looks cool, you can lean into your turns with the special way that the wheels bend with your weight. You can take a break from pushing and just stand on it with both feet on the runner, and it won't fall down. We have tried other "training" scooters with two wheels in the back and one in front...and they are very hard to handle and make turns on. This little scooter is the best. It doesn't fold, but it fits easily wherever you want to take it or store it. The boys love it!

My 3-year old daughter and I were at a birthday party when she started playing with another party guest who had a Micro Mini. My first instinct was to tell her that she couldn't ride the scooter and that it would be too dangerous. Instead of telling her that, I just told her to be careful. She got on and to my surprise she was riding like a big kid. It was truly amazing. Since then I have ordered one for my daughter. I didn't realize that my 3-year old could safely ride a scooter by herself.

We tried out ALL sorts of scooters for my 4 yr. old son, and this one was the best, hands down. The two wheels in the front provide more stability and are easier to maneuver than the scooters with two wheels in the back. Anyone can ride this scooter on the first try. We have had it for almost a year and it has taken quite a beating from my very destructive son, so the 4 star rating for durability may not be fair. His balance and coordination has improved considerably, along with his "cool factor" and thus, self-esteem. My 4 and 3 yr. old nieces have these as well and their mother agrees that these are the best toys ever. You cannot go wrong with this scooter.

Both of my children received this scooter for Christmas. They are 3 1/2 and 20 months old and love their new scooters. Their scooters came with knee and elbow pads but so far, neither girl has fallen from her scooter. The two wheels in the front provide a good deal of balance but also allows the children to turn the scooter. We are very pleased with this product.

I bought this scooter as a gift for my niece during Christmas 2004, when she was a little over 2 1/2 years old. It was a hit among her presents. Over the past year, she has consistently enjoyed riding it, and I have seen how she has developed her coordination, balance and confidence using the scooter as she's grown. The toy also has held up extrememly well through steady use, and I'm still getting praise from my family for coming across the perfect gift!

I do not recommend this to anyone, like the others said it breaks. I have two of them and they broke in the same place. it,s money down the drain.

My son is 2 years old and we wanted to get him a sturdy scooter. When my son (who weighs about 30 lbs.) stepped on the scooter the front wheels buckled out and the middle part where he put his foot bent toward the ground. I don't know why they would make this product like this unless they wanted it to be flexible. This scooter's foot bed is a narrow piece of plastic without any metal rails running along the sides. This scooter also has only 1 wheel in back. I returned it and got my son the "scooter rat" from toys 'r us. Much better product. The foot bed in made of metal with 2 metal rails supporting it on either side. It also has the 2 wheels in back and 1 wheel in front.

Two Scooter Broken...Terrible Construction! Two Thumbs Down!,

My two year old twins (aprox 35 lbs each) both got these scooteres for Christmas. Although they really liked them, they are both broken. These scooters have a VERY thin piece of wire shaped like a U under the scooter that controlls the steering. This cheap wire broke on both scooters. When the wire breaks, the scooter's steering becomes uncontrollable and the scooter is then very UNSAFE!! The first wire broke within three weeks and the second broke after two months of very mild indoor riding. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE construction. Do not waste your money.

We purchased this scooter over a year ago for our then 2 year old. It's been such a big hit with her over the last year. It's incredibly durable and well-made. The 2 wheels in front design has prevented many injuries and enabled her to learn how to use it that much quicker. The age range on this scooter is not accurate. My daughter will be four in a month and I'm already looking for larger scooter to replace this one. I would recommend this for ages 2-4.
