MiniBlossom Hummingbird Feeder Blue on Stake

I bought two of these and while my other feeders attract loads of hummingbirds, in 2 summers I have yet to see a single hummingbird feed from either of these. They fill with ants really fast. I regret the purchase. I had to give it "1 star" but actually would rate it, "0 stars"

This is a very pretty humming bird feeder and a rather unique one too! It does just what it says it will do and even when it is not attracting humming birds it is still an artfully beautiful addition to any plant!

We have 4 of these that we have put out every summer for the past 4 years. They attract hummingbirds like crazy - we have seen the birds actually fight over them when more than one shows up at a time. I would say there is a bird at one of these almost half the time when I look out the window.

I would imagine any of the hummingbird feeders will work but these are very nice looking which is one of the reasons I chose this type.

The only downside I have found is that these are a little difficult to scrub inside, but a pipe cleaner does the trick.

I am not sure why one of the other reviewers found hers attracted no birds. Various of our neighbors have different brands / types and they all seem to work. This is really no different. Maybe make sure the nectar mix is correct (4 parts water to 1 part sugar, brought to a gentle boil). Or it could be where it is placed, although the birds in our yard don't seem picky about that. Also, they need to be filled fairly close to the top so the birds can reach the nectar. I find that cleaning them and replacing the nectar weekly seems to attract them a bit more often, and have read that that should be done that frequently anyway to avoid bacteria building up in the feeder and making the birds sick.

Anyway, these should work as well as any other type, and are very attractive to people too.
