This little file cabinet replaces 2 binders full of those plastic pages of business cards. I had a hard time keeping the binders up to date. Keeping all of the cards in alphabetical order meant a huge investment of time every time I got a new card. They would end up in stacks all over my desk waiting to be put into the binders.

The file cabinet makes this easier, because the cards are easy to find, and easily dropped back into their proper filing spot. It's a nice conversation piece, everyone who visits my office comments on it and loves it.

There is no way it holds 800 cards like it claims to. I have about 300 cards in it right now, and any more than about 400 would make it impossible to lean them forward or backward to find the one you want. And forget about the ones in the back of the drawer, if they were that full you wouldn't be able to reach them.

The other problem is not the cabinet's fault - people do not use any sort of standard when it comes to business card size or thickness. This sometimes makes it difficult to flip through easily, because the European extra-wide, extra-thick cards are more prominent than the U.S. cards. Even American cards come in all materials, and sizes.

Draweres are too shallow. Can't get to the back half of cards. Great idea, poor design.

A useful miniature. Even if you decided for any reason not to use it to store your business cards (like I did!), It still offers a nice and elegant place to store your small things in, keeping your desktop tidy without consuming much of its valuable space. It can be a very nice gift for an office mate. The clock shows both time and date, and it works well using a small battery (included). Both drawers open smoothly and have grooves to hold the business cards tags (included). Don't expect a high quality product though. It is made of hard plastic with average quality finish.

There's no quirkier solution for filing your business cards! I've had the Miniature File Cabinet on my desk for almost two years, and there hasn't been a single person to walk into my office and not commented on it. The mini size makes for a great ice breaker and conversation piece. How can a boss yell at you with such a cute business card holder present??
The gray-color is realistic to a real filing cabinet. The Miniature File Cabinet is made of plastic, and I sometimes have difficulty sliding the drawers. Any normal sized business card will easily fit into the drawers, however there isn't a solution for storing all those unique card shapes (squares, circles, etc.). I have 500+ cards currently jammed into it, and sometimes have problems pulling cards from the back portions of the drawers. But this could easily be solved by throwing old contacts' cards out.
All in all, I'd give the Miniature File Cabinet a thumbs up for being fun but still functional.

This was a big hit, but the handle broke the first time I used it. We super glued it and it has worked perfect ever since.

This item is cute and functional. The clock feature is OK but not necessary as far as I'm concerned; therefore, I have not checked its functionality. On the negative side, this filing cabinet only comes in one color, which does not match my full-size filing cabinet. I will probably paint the miniature black so that they match. However, it would have been nice to be able to purchase a matching business card filing cabinet.

I like to give most things the benefit of the doubt... especially this one because I like it so much and it was so cute. It would have been perfect for my current stack of business cards. However, when I opened the box upon arrival, the entire back of the item fell off. Also, the front bottom drawer had an inch long crack in it, but that may have been due to shipping. The front handles also were not attached very well. Somewhat sad that I had to return it. The price was great, but I would think that the item should at least stay in one piece.

I thought it would be a little sturdier, but you get what you pay for and the price fits the product.

It's a simple, functional card file. I didn't even bother with the clock function that's built into the top drawer. It comes with alphabetic seperators and it's ready to use out of the box- unless you want to mess with the clock.
