I think these books will be precious collection for our children.

When looking for a set of Peter Rabbit books for my nephew, I found that there is a new version that has abandoned Miss Potter's drawings in favor of a flat lifeless rendition of the characters...how can this be? Who would want to alter the image of Peter we have grown up with? The details are important..and don't think children don't notice everything they see in them...they do! The watercolor illustrations breathe life into the characters making you believe they are real!

This tiny boxed set is true to Miss Potter's desire to have the books small enough to fit into the young readers hands. While not a series of board books, they will need to be handled with care, a good place to begin with your child by teaching them to cherish and care for books with a treasure like this Peter Rabbit mini set. They are excellent addtions to your library with the original watercolor illustrations by Beatrix Potter. A very good investment!

After seeing the movie, Miss Potter, I wanted to know more of Potter's stories than Peter Rabbit. I collect small things. I so very much enjoyed reading each of these 12 lovely little books. The case is designed so beautifully and only takes a small space on my book shelf.

Wonderful, TINY set of Beatrix Potter books (First 12 of the series.) These are stiff paper covered. Tots will need help looking through them.

It would be helpful if the description of the set included the titles of the books.

Beatrix Potter's stories are timeless for many reasons, and this is a very fun little set for her tiniest fans. My two-year-old daughter loves how small these books are - she calls them her "tiny books" - and she has had hours of fun with them. She even sits and "reads" them to herself... more so than her board books, etc., no doubt because the diminutive size of this set relative to her own stature approximates how adults must look with their own paperbacks in hand.

I must warn you, though, that this set is not meant for the long haul. I'm on Amazon today to buy a new set, because the one we have has been loved to pieces in a few months' time. The pages very easily come apart - it is just a paperback glue binding, after all. (I have also just purchased the full hardcover set, but plan to save that one for Christmas.) The other note I should make is that the type is teeny-tiny, as you might expect given the dimensions of these books. This is OK, as long as I'm not being asked to read one at bedtime in dim light, but it is never easy (and I have perfect eyesight).

All in all, this is a really pretty set of tiny books!

This little drawer of books is adorable. Timeless tales on tiny books. I really wanted to get the complete set of 24 books, but the only way it was offered was in a tin for over $150.

i had purchased a set of these for myself a few years ago, still 12 at heart don't ya know, and loved them so much i purchased a set for my daughter who is 8. she lives in Holland and will be thrilled for the new challenge of practicing her english.
