4.0 out of 5 stars Very fun and entertaining December 18, 2012

Fragger is pretty great. You play as a little solider man trying to frag his way out of enemy territory in some "angry birds" esque gameplay. This works wonderfully on my optimus V.

4.0 out of 5 stars Addicting and very nice game-play! April 24, 2012
Verified Purchase
This is very addicting game and I like the game-play. The characters are cute and music and sound effects are very nicely done. While I have not yet fully played the paid version that is being offered here on Amazon. The Google Play free version is just as good as this one and I had loved playing it on my Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1

The levels are progressively difficult as you get closer to completing the first pack, But it is something that can be completed with careful planning and accurate throws of the grenades. The APP allows you to download additional content once you finish a pack of levels to continue on. It also allows you to buy hints and other accessories if you really need them to complete levels.

The Google Play version & Amazon versions both use 'OpenFeint' but I never will sign up for that service nor do I keep my Wi-Fi ON at all times to get concerned and get paranoid about personal data being mined.

So the game does loses a Star for having 'OpenFeint' turned ON for a paid app. I do not know if developers get paid for using OpenFeint? It would have been a true '5' star game if developer opted out of Openfeint for this lovely addicting game. Please listen to paid customers like me and Please do yourself a favor and do not opt-in to OpenFeint by default and give full control to users to opt out of Openfeint.

IMHO, If possible Developers please stay away from OpenFeint for Amazon apps as it ruins your sale and good game product such as this one as people do not trust OpenFeint PERIOD.

Overall it is nice twist to Angry birds and while it is similar, I truly like Fragger game. Worthy purchase.

EDIT: APRIL 25 2012

I purchased this game from Amazon and Installed it on my Kindle Fire device!

4.0 out of 5 stars better than angry birds!!! June 12, 2012

I like this game more than I like playing angry birds. There is just something about it. Makes more sense than some unknown entity launching birds at pigs that somehow buried themselves in weird places.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just like Angry Birds. May 24, 2012

If you enjoy an Angry Birds type of game you'll probably like Fragger. Instead of throwing birds you're throwing grenades. You don't have to pay money for anything. If you don't want to play sequentially through all the levels, you can optionally pay money to skip ahead and unlock levels. The game itself is ok. I think the music and sounds are a little weird (except for the explosions). The graphics are decent and controls are easy to use. I think the grenades roll a little too much after they hit the ground though. Lastly, this game uses Openfeint. I have data turned off and I open the game and this message appears "Feint requires an active network connection." HTC Thunderbolt stock rooted.

5.0 out of 5 stars Give it a shot! May 17, 2012

I almost didn't download this game after reading the negative reviews. Then I noticed that Miniclip made this game, they also made Hambo, so I decided to try it anyways.

My impression? Some of the 1 star reviews are completely wrong (big surprise!) This game is not like Angry Birds, its similar in that you point and shoot, but that's where the similarities end. I also didn't get a splash screen for Openfeint, so don't know what some people are complaining about. Biggest misconception, you don't have to pay money to play the game! You can pay to skip levels or cheat, which is completely optional and in my opinion, unnecessary. I prefer to beat each level without cheating.

This is a solid featured app, I'll likely get many hours of enjoyment from this game. When's the last time you were able to say that?

Great game! Simple to learn. Fun to play. Challenging on higher levels. Overall a great alternative to Angry Birds type games... but enough with the pay options in a paid-for game!

5.0 out of 5 stars You DO NOT have to pay to advance levels! May 17, 2012

It's been sometime since I've submitted a review. I haven't been impressed with any of Amazon's FAOTD apps as of late. But, this one has got my attention. I've tried to answer any questions & address any issues that have been mentioned so far. So, if you're interested in this app but still on the fence about whether to download or not, perhaps this review can help you to decide.

*Update: First of all, when I first posted my review, I was unable to find OpenFeint installed anywhere on my device or within this app. I do not get a splash screen or asked to join upon opening the app as some have. Not sure why this is? Perhaps those that had downloaded. & reviewed this app prior to today's FAOTD had an older version of Fragger that maybe DID have OpenFeint installed on it? I'm only guessing, but it may have been included at the time but today's version may no longer have Feint bundled with it. This is the only thing that makes any sense as I cannot find a single OpenFeint file on my Kindle Fire whatsoever. If you are seeing OpenFeint, simply don't join. I completely understand those that want nothing to do with OpenFeint. I wish developers wouldn't include it or other software like it in their apps. That being said, the other permissions "appear" to be basic & is typical for this type of game app. However, as with any application, one should always download & use at your own risk.

It has also been mentioned that you need to PAY for this app to play after you may have already paid for it or downloaded it for FAOTD. This is a misunderstanding. You DO NOT need to pay or buy anything after downloading this app! Only if you decide you want to SKIP levels then, will you need to pay to play! Otherwise, simply start at level one & play each level one at a time in succession.

Great game but if you use up your skips and solutions to help you out... buy more for $1.99. If you can't figure out a level, buy or be stuck.
