The object of Siege Hero is to destroy the bad guys by throwing things at their structures. All of this is done in first, instead of third person - that is the only thing that separates it from being an exact copy of Angry Birds. You can zoom aim for extreme precision, not that you really need to as the first few dozen levels are all terribly easy.
I achieved a gold crown on them without any effort on my part.
Eventually the game does get more difficult, with hostages, tougher buildings, and the like.

The Good:

- Graphics in this game really are top notch, almost Angry Birds quality. The cartoony, hand drawn look really suits all the destruction that happens on screen. The animations are also quite good, with nice big puffy smoke clouds, and debris flying all over the screen.

- Sound and music are above average, mostly upbeat tunes and cool explosion/destruction sounds.

- You are allowed to zoom in for accurate shots.

- There is a huge number of levels here, numbering in the hundreds.

The Bad:

- The game starts off incredibly easy, but eventually ramps up the difficulty to an insane level, almost forcing you to purchase Buster Bombs (that pretty much instantly clear the level for you). All of this is done with one touch because of the built in permissions. You can buy 5 for $.99 or get a "good deal" and buy 15 for just $1.99. Wow, classy.

- There is a delay between when you clear (or lose) a level and the game actually registering it. Sometimes this can take up to a few seconds. It gets very annoying as the game has a lot of levels.

- There are plenty of fake five star reviews all over the Amazon page. These are all coming from people with one or two reviews. Shameful.

3.0 out of 5 stars not optimized for kindle September 16, 2012

good game, but you cannot win several rounds due to a delay at beginning of levels. for example, on 2-28 it is impossible to explode a bomb before the cart makes contact, killing one of the chicks that you cannot afford to kill and still get the gold crown.

i have never had to rate a game before to play its final level but that is what they are asking me to do which is probably why this game has so many reviews.

Pretty much everything we love to hate about an app is here. I was motivated to post an honest review to counter all the fake 5-star reviews by I won't go into detail about what other reviewers have already stated so well. The ads, in-app purchasing for the complete game, excessive permissions and Open Feint, completely unoriginal concept and the constant stream of fake reviews reveal a very shady developer that you should not trust with access to your device.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun game, but not everything works well February 10, 2013

I really enjoy this game, but my quest for completion looks like it isn't going to happen. Several levels don't seem to be able to be completed (or gold-crowned). Lev 2-28, as mentioned. And 2 treasure levels don't work either.

1) Age of Discovery Treasure 3, I've thrown that fire everywhere, including the spot posted in solution videos. Doesn't work.
2) Age of Discovery Treasure 4, same problem as 2-28 (the delay on firing your first shot). And the guys don't die even if you drop the wood/gold/stone/truck on them.

I'd 5-star this game if these bugs didn't exist.

This is a great, fun app except to play the next level I am forced to rate it. So now they lose two stars.
