The 4 engine C-54 transport first entered service during World War 2. The C-54 continued to be used by United States armed forces after WWII. This kit represents an airplane used to re-supply Berlin during the Berlin Blockade of 1947 and received notoriety for dropping candy bars to local children that gathered under the approaching aircraft.
