The graceful C-121 evolved from an early airliner design that was first deployed as a high-speed transport used in WWII. Later the C-121 used the same basic design but included a longer fuselage and wings resulting in a longer range and a heavier carrying capacity. The United States Air Force used the Connie using the Air Force designation C-121. The Navy referred to the aircraft as a R7V-1. Used extensively by all U.S. armed forces, this kit includes markings for the USAF Military Airlift Command and the U.S. Navy.
