Everything you need to know about Seduction!!, November 20, 2011
I've been following Aaron Sleazy for two or three years now. I used to eagerly await his latest report of his exploits in the night life of Berlin or London, and read his collection of adventures,
Sleazy Stories: Confessions of an infamous modern Seducer of Women, in one sitting. While his previous book retells his experiences, often in a somewhat dry but quite funny way, the scope of that book didn't leave much room to explain the reasoning behind his actions.
I was thus pleased to hear that he was working on a book on the foundations of success with women. As soon as he had announced the book on his blog, I emailed him and asked him whether he'd sell me a singed copy of it, and luckily he did! So, having read through this book in two days, and having gone out two days in a row to meet women (went to a club once, browsed a bookstore, checked some coffee shops the other day), I can tell you that it is everything (and more!) I ever hoped it would be.
I've read all the well-known seduction books, like David DeAngelo's Double Your Dating,
The Mystery Method: How to Get Beautiful Women Into Bed,
The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists, and probably half a dozen others. They all left me somewhat disappointing. Those authors were often rambling on about trivial details, tried their hand on evolutionary psychology but not without making one logical error after another, or just tried to sell their other services. Mystery Method is so complicated (IOI, SOI, LMR, A3, AMOG, AI, ASD, BHRR. Seriously, WTF?) that you can't even understand it without attending a workshop for a few grand, and I don't think that's worth it because the method seems to be based on some rather odd premises.
But anyway, what was refreshing about Aaron Sleazy's reports of his conquests is mirrored in Minimal Game: a complete no-nonsense attitude. He just tells you how it is. He tells you how to have success and if you don't, he tells you why you didn't get the girl. However, unlike the preachers of "game", he dares to say what they all are afraid to concede: that you just can't get any girl out there. This is a revolutionary message all by itself, given the literature in this field.
The content of this book follows a logical order. First, he tells you some "honest truth", which is especially useful if you believe Hollywood fantasies about meeting women. He also talks about the woman's perspective in the dating process (a novelty as well!). In a long and detailed chapter, he analyses all external factors like age, money, looks, your location, social skills, conversational skills. All of this is detailed, and will have many surprises for you if you used to follow Mystery and others. Looking at my past relationships, I can definitely relate to what Aaron Sleazy writes in this chapter, and if you still believe that looks don't matter, then you are either a model or still don't get laid. ;) Sleazy gives you a ton of great tips on how to improve your looks, and thus have more success with the girls. Some is very subtle and I haven't read it anywhere else before.
However, the real fun starts afterwards, when he talks about seduction, and about under which circumstances women are receptive to advances, and to whom. Again, it's all very clearly presented, and I can now see that I was simply often pursuing women that weren't interested. While other "gurus" tell you that you can always make it work, Sleazy tells you, "Look, if x, y, z is the case then she's not interested. Just go after some other woman instead!" I found this view refreshing and incredibly liberating, because now I am not beating myself up when I don't get with a particular girl. Mystery would tell you that your stories were not emotional enough or whatever else, but that judgment wouldn't really tell you anything or would it?
One chapter deals with scenarios in which you can meet women, covering everything from social circle, grocery stores, malls, to bars and clubs. He gives specific pointers and tells you what to avoid. I found this chapter particularly helpful because he literally talks you through the entire process: where to meet them, what to say, getting the number, calling her up, and the date as well. He covers one-night stands too, but that's something that's out of my comfort zone. However, he gives some interesting tips which I'm sure I'll try next weekend when I'm out.
Unusual for books of this category are his elaborations on "roadblocks" and "factors for success". Chances are that if you don't get laid, then you are doing something wrong he describes in there. I was laughing out loud when I was going through a section in which he describes that many men go after women who have absolutely no interest in them sexually, but still like the attention they get. This has happened to me a coupe of times as well, but I just wasn't realizing it. Like, when I was talking to a woman I met at a fundraiser who listened to my stories for two hours but didn't like my idea of meeting up for coffee some other time. Now I know what to look for in an interaction early on so that I won't waste another two hours on a woman that doesn't even want me. Great stuff!
Before parting from the reader, Aaron Sleazy gives you an overview on relationships. How to pick the right girls, how to keep them around, etc. His elaborations of "friends with benefits" were especially juicy. I may try that as well. A nice touch of the book is that he's added an epilogue to it. I found it touching as it almost was as if a teacher would bid you farewell and let you now make your own experiences. I really think he's covered everything you need to know about seduction.
Phew.. I didn't mean to write that much. Anyway, the question is, "Does this book deliver?" Yes, totally!! It's a quick read, it's full of relevant stuff, a lot of which I haven't read anywhere else, and it's written in a way that you can actually apply it, and this is a quality I didn't find in many other books. Besides, it's very affordable, so that's nice of him as well, that he doesn't want to rip us off but instead choses a price everyone can afford.
Aaron says that this book is about the "foundations", but the foundations you get with Minimal Game are so strong that you'll get something from this book even if you were the reincarnation of Don Juan. Some topics are actually very advanced, so I'd say that this book really takes you all the way from virgin to (possibly, if you so desire) womanizer. Minimal Game gives you an entirely new outlook on dating. While you might have found it boring and repetitive before (maybe with Mystery Method - heck, Mystery himself said that he finds the "opening" phase boring), it will then become exciting and liberating.
I'm not the kind of guy that likes to kiss and tell, but I can tell you that this book has changed my life already. :)

Best Book On Pickup, December 12, 2011
I read this book twice through. Of all the pickup books i've read, Minimal Game is the best. Honestly i don't think there was anything i disagreed with. The book stresses a couple fundamentals that almost all other pickup books miss or barely mention. The sections on enviorment and style are so important! In the last couple months i've been experiencing how much more success you have when you choose the right setting, have awesome style, and dress appropriately for that setting. So many guys trying to pickup girls are focused on using game. These guys don't have much success, and assume it was the line they used, the angle they approached from, or they weren't sexual enough etc. When it was the fact their teeth are a little to yellow, they dressed like a slob, or they have nothing in common with the general crowd. You probabaly shouldn't even try to learn game without having your fundamentals down.
I also liked the section where Aaron spoke about having proper expectations for pickup. He tells it how it is, unlike pua's who claim to get nearly every girl they approach, or go 5 for 5. Those lies use to bother me because i compared my success to the lies of certain pua gurus. I felt like i must be doing somethings very wrong, when i actually wasn't doing to bad. I love how the book is so straight forward. Just about any guy who applied what they read in this book would have a lot more success with women!
Also, if anyone were to give this book a bad review I would question their level of success with women. I have been very active improving myself, and my success with women in the last 3 years. I have gone from having a lot less success than than most guys, to having more success than most guys. I have used a lot of other seduction methods, and have a lot of experience. Minimal Game tells you what you really need to do to have success with women, and cuts out the absolute nonsense that you see in other seduction methods.
